Training Ground?
We should have exclusive rights to the indoor hall, 13th. Anything that is built for us as a training facility should be ours and only ours (from a professional organisation perspective). Happy for it to also be used as a community facility, except for all those [censored] NIMBYS (they'd be the first to want to access it too i reckon)

Training Ground?
At the worst of gridlock times on the Monash carpark, you're getting closer to 1.5 hours Cards. It truly is a [censored] road. There are way too many on-ramps, imo.

That pompous fool has a very selective memory.

Training Ground?
I 100% agree with you @58er. Nothing is given only earned. In order to earn a premiership, a club must properly prepare itself by providing all employees with the proper facilities (for which we have severely lacked for decades). If land near the G cannot provide for this, then it would be foolish to insufficiently cram it all in. Do it once. Do it right.

Training Ground?
Good luck trying to convince the current board, who appear to be transfixed on being within the MCG precinct. I don't quite understand the stubborn fascination with the G. What has it done for us in the past 56 years? One thing it hasn't is given us a flag.

Training Ground?
Agree with what you said @Half forward flank. If it is a bit of an issue, just get the player's to be sponsored by a jaguar dealership. A new $150k Jaguar in their driveways will probably keep em quiet ?.

3 weeks away
Agree dl4e. Looking at that side, our forward line (KPF's) is massively our achilles heel. Needs fixing and pronto.

Could you elect for the partial refund to go to the club? Every little bit helps.

Dees vs Pies 2000 The Wizard's 9 Goals
Compared to the forward lines of yesteryear, our current one is an absolute embarrassment. Can it be that the Corona virus has saved Goodwin's job for another year? He quickly dispatched Roos' defensive gameplan, into one that is kamikaze with a virtual third tier forward line. ps - watching those vids just reminded me of my dislike for Tarkyn Lockyer. The bloke was a faux tough guy who liked to dirtily give it out, but sooked up big time when he got a faint touch. M@ggot. Seeing Wiz tear him a new one was mesmerising watching!

Robbo & Green Review the 2000 Qualifying Final
If we had Northey as coach now, i'd dare say that we would give it a real good shake over the next few years.

And just how poor most have become.

Is the talent pool diluted?
With all the academies and NGA zones in place now, it strips the draft of it's essential purpose. All academies need to be abolished and discounts for F/S selections also need to go (having first dibs on a particular player is enough of a discount).

Hawthorn Demons
Yep, the merger would've resulted in the formation of the Melbourne Hawks. I vividly recall a very raucous crowd at Dallas Brooks Hall. Funnily enough, outside they were asking members who had voted against the merger if they wanted to reconsider their vote, but not members who had voted for it.

Robbo & Green Review the 2000 Qualifying Final
At least Hardwick & Wallis had the decency to do it to a player looking at them. [censored] Michael Long just about decapitated poor Troy Simmonds who was bending over to pick up the ball. Hero Long decided to try and snap his neck off. Gutless. Weak. Dog Act. I rarely harbour a grudge on a personal level, but i cannot fathom how any decent human being could forgive that pr!ck. Hope the fat [censored] will one day get a taste of his own medicine.

That goal from Green from the left pocket. Never looked like missing!

Would ya take a punt on Paddy?
We are crying out for a quality KPF. Paddy has yet to prove he is even a sufficient KPF at AFL level. Pass.

2004 Missed opportunity
Beat the Baggers by over 100 points earlier in the season, only to lose to them in one of the last of those 4 games. Shot ourselves in the foot big time that year.

Michael Hibberd’s brother missing
I fear the outcome is not going to be good for poor Hibbo. Through all the cr@p of a suspended season, he’s now very likely going to have to deal with the loss of his brother.

GAMEDAY: Demons vs Fremantle (2008)
remember this game well, particularly when Junior quickly kicked the ball out of the centre to the bronx cheers (i was a part of them). Half time came and Dad wondered if we should go, to which i replied that i had nothing better to do on a Sunday arvo. Bloody glad we stayed lol. The most uneventful game i've attended has to be the Sunday twilight game at the G against the Crows, where it was so cold it felt like being at Waverley and the game so boring you had no chance of warming up. That was truly a waste of an afternoon at the footy.
