No TMAC was not as influential in finals or second half of the year, however his form in the first half was fantastic. He was our main KPF and was very good at it, which saw us start the year 11-1. If we didn’t get the start we did, we might not have made top 4 (definitely not top 2, let alone minor premiers). TMAC’s time might be up, but boy did he contribute to our flag in a big big way.

Looks like Dad knew something was up. They might’ve been informed that we were very keen on him (which suggests to me he was our target before the draft got under way)

How things have changed these past few years. The Grand Final is now our GF, not draft day.

Strung out over 2 nights 🤮 COVID was around this time last year and they still had it on the 1 night. Only good reason to have it go for so long over 2 nights is so that Gil can fawn over how good the GF was, and no matter the topic he should steer the conversation back towards the MFC’s greatness.

Don’t know about Mac Andrew with his rapid rise up draft order. One only needs to look at others who sprinted up the draft board to not deliver on expected output………………the Bontempelli’s the Oliver’s and the like 😝

Never rated Chris Doerre for having an eye for talent, this just sums it up perfectly. Been watching his appraisals all the way back since the late 00’s when he was just a bigfooty keyboard warrior and nothing much has changed. There’s a reason he hasn’t advanced from being draft guru at the AFL juggernaut that is ESPN.
