The Orlando Turner Thread
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Leopold Bloom's topic in Melbourne Demons
My mates cousin is involved with us for the academy, but I don’t recognise this name. I know Kozzie was over at his house a bit when they were here. Is there a list anywhere of our NT academy kids? -
Last quarter is the standard for rest of year

Time to put the 'Kozzy Form Slump' bias to bed!

But the stats say…… -
So according to Goodwin, the answer to lack of goal scoring is Trac spending more time forward. 0.4 last week. FMD

BBB running on treadmill -
Every year I have been critical of them, but the road train took the cake. It was putrid. For the second year running (no rain last year) they did not open the Gates onto Gap road (where the service road was closed). This is the most convenient and popular gate to leave. Instead they funneled all of Crowd onto the street that has their main car park. It beggars belief how these guys have any employment

The AFLNT really are bad. We had to walk past a road train inside the ground (advertising), it was a 3 carriage road train for cattle. It was full of [censored] and stank terribly.

Agree, will be a bit less [censored]

Just got a text message from the clowns at AFLNT, last year there were ridiculous lines to get into the ground, this year they have closed one of the two gates to enter due to the rain! Oh yeah, they have also let us know that we can’t take umbrellas!!

Porkies? Really?

Awful morning here, raining and cold. Can’t imagine there being much of a crowd

I can confirm that the Uncle’s profile picture is accurate

Going to be at the Alice Springs Brewery from about 7.30, any Demonlanders want to join us just send me a message
-
It was pretty cool going past a cop car doing 165 and you weren’t doing anything wrong

Nah, the current government took that bonus away, limit now 130

7.3degrees here now, feels like 2.2 according to the app. In almost a decade here, today is the worst I have experienced. As for drainage, I can’t say, but rain hasn’t been heavy enough, so I expect it to be slippery but not really wet. I will try get to training session and report from there. Anyone at training, I will have heavy demon’s jacket with big MFC on back, with two kids, boy 9, girl in glasses 13, my name is Dave, introduce yourselves please on a side note, until today, I have never worn the jacket during the day in Alice
-
If I can tolerate the cold!! see what the kids say, will go out to get fireworks so will try time it then.
-
Mate, it can get below zero at night in winter, but days are normally sunny and 20+ degrees. The coldest ever recorded high in Alice is 7 degrees, we could match that today. I suspect we will have a very poor crowd as the weather is a huge turn off for locals.

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO SANTA TERESA IN THIS WEATHER
-
So cold up here it’s ridiculous and the forecast only gets worse… Open clinic then training session Saturday for those that are here: https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1366715/demons-to-host-open-training-in-alice-springs For those that want a special experience, head out to Santa Teresa (about an hour drive on road that goes past airport, 50km of dirt but can easily do in a 2wd for a 2.30 pm start at the grass oval there.
-
Head out toWest Macs instead. not sure what drainage of oval is like, three days of consecutive rain in the footy season is extremely rare, so don’t expect it to be a problem (am expecting less rain to hit town than forecast), but …

Can’t recall last time the daytime highs were that low here
