Loved what I saw of him in preseason training. Not so much of what I saw at Casey. That said, I did witness some fantastic cameos, believe he will make a good player, but am not expecting much next year

Blease and Tappy on the table ...
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Bingo's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would not be keen on seeing them leave. They both have something we need. Blease with his electric pace and Tappscott being as hard as nails. Both have had less than adequate coaching and development IMO and I believe they will flourish under Roos if given the opportunity. -
Jamar up for trade
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Weekends at Bernie's's topic in Melbourne Demons
What a crock. 2years ago when I said he should be traded while at the top of his worth I got very, very little support -
Pick 38?? No way. Hawks will trade for little if Sewell gets a 2 year deal, they will look after him. He is held in huge regard at the Hawks as he has been recognized as an important mentor / teacher of those younger than him. Give me Brad over Cross, will make our midfield better and if he is as good as I believe he is with young players, we will benefit from his influence for up to ten years

Still waiting, did Frawley say he wants to leave or are you just being a [censored] and making up things about one of our best players?
-
Can't let this line go unchallenged. Show us a quote, as all I've seen or read of Chip wanting to leave are from hysterical posters here. Have been to training a lot this year and watched him, seen him at numerous Casey games supporting his mates, have seen nothing to suggest he wants to leave. Now feel free to back up this line or is it just made up?

A well informed source says the pet has plans in motion and is confident of getting its man.
-
Wish we would offer Chip a generous contract extension now...

Colin Sylvia going ... going ... GONE!
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to burfy174's topic in Melbourne Demons
so much for his empty words of proving people wrong! Can't say I am upset to see this lazy, under performing selfish footballer leave. Wouldn't surprise me to see him struggle under the discipline of Lyon, though the sod could go either way and reach his potential. A wasted talent IMO and am glad to see the back of him. -
You have obviously had someone [censored] a couple of beers from the six pack.
-
Remember Schwab using a similar line. He knew everything.

Player managers should be barred from working full time in the media, all they do is BS us due to massive conflicts of interest. The lack of integrity with those involved in the AFL is astounding

Sydney Swans offer Franklin $7 million

Angst = celebrating.... Brilliant -
Sydney Swans offer Franklin $7 million
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Gippsland Dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
So you don't understand the angst and then list 5 reasons why we should be upset. Brilliant. -
Was really hoping we would chase Dylan Shiel, but he,like most of his contemporaries has signed a new contract through the year. He'll, even Adams may stay now Buddy isn't going. I've been amazed at their ability to hang on to so many kids who are so obviously talented. By not getting burdened with a massive contract for Buddy does them a favour IMO, they will have Patten, Boyd and Cameron being fed by fantastic mids (who wouldn't take Toby Green). They will have the ability to contract who they want, front loading many. Everyone said clubs would raid GWS after two years. How's that been going?

Remind me again of all of their gun players who are returning to Vic after having just finished their first contracts?

Sydney Swans offer Franklin $7 million
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Gippsland Dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
So the period for offer for FA & UFA's starts Friday but the Swans and Buddy have come to a deal. So the AFL's rules only cover some teams? -
Agree completely. It's just Demoneyes has a history of making things up. I think you may find he doesn't actually have any mates...
-
Hamill played the bulk of his career at St K, was far from using them as a retirement home, unlike many blues before him
-
And one day one of your 'mates' may actually be right about something.

Gold.

?? Do I say most didn't enjoy it? He copped a bit more than 'slightly negative posts' over the years, he couldn't handle it and stopped posting. Yes he was very sensitive, too much IMO, but not sure how that makes my post rubbish. Do tell?
-
First I've heard of this, can I ask where you heard this?
-
They were entertaining posts, even if only 10%came to fruition. Sadly, he got sick of intellectual pygmy's attacking him for posting rumours so stopped...
-
This thread is for rumours. It is pea brain comments like this that have led to posters like nudge/chilli boy and others to stop posting the rumours they heard.
