  1. Ben Holland. - Dutchy has been serviceable, been important at times. Brent Moloney. - Could yet prove to be a huge part of our future. Clint Bizzell.-- Great pickup, Biz was fantastic for us at his peak. Shannon Motlop. - Was worth the punt, showed glimpes but was ultimately a failure. Paul Johnson.- Looking like a brilliant pick up. Byron Pickett. - Did enough to justify the trade. Was very important at times. Phil Read. - Never rated him, was disappointed we picked him up in the first place. Chris Heffernen. - Based on his form for the Don's was a reasonable get, didn't do alot for us though. John Meesen. Can't say yet. Peter Vardy - Was fantastic in 2002, I'd say he was worth it. Moorcroft - Was a bit of a waste. Worth the punt though. Simmonds - Big [censored] up. Out of all of our losses, Simmonds and Jolly hurt us the most.
  2. Get your facts right. He tackled Pavlich at 45 and kicked for goal from fifty. Its still an ordinary effort I agree, but there is a difference.
  3. As much of an opitimist that I am, our chances against Adelaide are slim to none. I would love to be proved wrong, but our record speaks volumes.
  4. Deanox, I'll answer that one too. I kept a close eye on Cam throughout the game, as I dont believe that his disposal is as bad as its being made out to be. Yesterday (apart from those early errant handballs), his disposal was first rate. He did miss a gettable shot on goal after he caught Pavlich holding the ball, but his kicking during play was spot on.
  5. Not bad YM - though Bruce should be in those votes. Not surprising to see you not even acknowledge him. 6 - Brad Miller 5 - Austin Wonaemirri 4 - Cameron Bruce 3 - Russell Robertson 2 - Aaron Davey 1 - Brock McLean Unlucky not to be in the votes: Green, Bate, Moloney, Garland
  6. This is where you are wrong. Look at the statistics last year - Bruce was top 5 at the club in tackles. His hard ball get stats from memory were in the top 10. And on a side note - do you think that a side should have 22 gung ho players who all dive on the ball when it is up for grabs? A team needs a mix of inside and outside players. Just because a player is more of an outside player does not mean they're soft and that they won't go when they need to ... a good example of such a player who has an outstanding career is Adem Yze. While the game has passed him by this year, he played 250 odd games of being a receiver, and doing it to the highest quality. Football is more than putting your head over the ball.
  7. Whats embarassing is your blind support for Col Sylvia. While he has a solid start to the year, his position in the Demonland POTY is about right.
  8. Bruce, Aussie, Jones and maybe Green were the only players who I think would scored pass marks on the day. Get over yourself YM and for once gain some respect by admitting that Cam Bruce is one of the few players at the club doing his job.
  9. Haha. He is a dirty little [censored] .... although I commend him for his choice of player to knee!
  10. Ah my fault. I still stand by my analogy.....FARK. And that makes Bell's game look even worse.
  11. I'll be there, and I'm dragging 2 mates along. GO DEES! This is good, so far the crowd is at about 10.
  12. Mark Jamar with 7 clangers. FARK. Bell 3 free kicks against ... all of them when he got run down because of his lack of awareness. On a more positive note: White with 11 contested possessions is a good sign. Bruce ... 33 possies, 5 tackles, 6 contested possessions. Soft my clacker.....
  13. Lets give credit where credit is due ... Brad Miller (who I absolutely think is in the top 3 SHITTEST players on this list) has actually been one of the only forwards to present this year. While his decision making is utterly woeful, his disposal has been good and at least he runs hard to position. Like I said, I don't rate him at all, but I think he's been surprisingly good this year. The In's are ok, if Warnock or Garland gets a game I think I'll be physically sick.
  14. Yze and Neitz will both get a send-off game, and well they should. Both have been devoted and loyal servants to this club, both over 250 games worth. If you don't think that merits a send off game, you have a dark dark heart.
  15. YM, your most sensible post to date. Totally agree, Neita has been an absolute out and out champion for this club, and deserves to be recognised for his efforts. I have no doubt that the club will do the right thing by him.
  16. Pretty straight forward now that we know Whelan, Neitz and Jamar will be out. I say Jamar with certainty because surely now Bailey has seen how poor he is. Out: Whelan (susp), Neitz (inj.), Jamar In: Miller, Meesen, Bate If I have got Meesen's name wrong, then I'll hang myself because there is nothing more annoying!! But just on him, apparently he played well for Sandy and he has to be a better option than Jamar.
  17. What stands out to me from those is Colin Sylvia. He really did have a fine game - 7 one percenters is an excellent effort. Great to see Green and Wonaemirri having 10 and 12 contested possessions respectively. And not to mention 7 tackles by Aussie and 4 by Green. Where are those people who said Green is soft?? Muppets.
  18. If he keeps this up. Last night was just ridiculous.
  19. Yeah thats a real [censored] about Petterd, no doubt he is in our best 22. On the upside, Meesen listed as a test is a good thing. It might signal the end of Jamar. One can only hope!!
  20. What concerns me the most is the ratio between kicks and handballs. Eg. Brock McLean has the most kicks for the side with 48 and has a total of 97 disposals. That means 49 handballs. I think the way forward for this team is to average around a 70/30 ratio between kicks and handballs. Currently, the team is at 53/47 ratio. Simon Buckley needs to kick more ... he has 10 kicks and 23 handballs.
  21. That would be a pretty immature thing to do. I dont hate him for choosing Carlton, he did what he thought would be best for his career. I still think he is a quality person and a champion footballer.
  22. A. David Neitz B. Jared Rivers / Brad Green C. Cale Morton
  23. Even more surprising considering Grimes won't play a game this year I'd think it is for his stepping down as captain - and Bruce to be given the mantle. I'd be surprised if he retired now, so early into the season.
