Its done and dusted at 2pm Noon til 1pm might get a tad .............busy !! -
being in our 22 does NOT make them our BEST...just puts them in our 22....thats logic edit...when was the last stepping on the park for Clark.. and Flawley is hardley a shadow of his supposed AA ability. Personally I reckon the Hawks have been conned.. Yep I know,,the premiers. Just wait til Hogan tears him a new one !! and dances on it

I dont think anything is quite finished yet. We may see nothing more in terms of trades but the shenanigans that occur behind closed doors. Dont for one moment folks think thats tomorrow is a dead rubber.. Some might say its 'just about to get interesting" -
I agree and I dont.. the bit I dont is that , and I assume you refer to Frawley and Clark, they weren't our best. Not really, would have been...both, but werent , they are both flawed. I dont rate their loss as monumental in tye least: but the first bit of your post referencing winning I do . 2015 is all about put up or shut up. Our club could be incredibly different in 16 if 15 produces some decent footy.

wrong villain perhaps ?? -
ya know....its ok to NOT believe what clubs say at this time of year I actually only believe what occurs and not much else. Again my mail was Watts was definitely put up and early. However was met with a rather coolish reception so they brought him back down again and it 'might' be why its easy to say now he never was. This is only what I was told, and may never have happened , but it makes credible sense to me. Keep in mind the club itself stated very early that everyone has a price.

Chook , where as Ducks ARE creatures of habit and WILL return I'm not so convinced that what might have been tantilisingly close currently will automatically reappear in 12 months.

The way some are going off would tempt the onlooker to suppose we didnt have Picks 2 and 3 up our sleeve -
Mahoney saying that we're happy to go to the drafts with 2 and 3 is what he should be saying. It means don't offer us shlt if youre serious about a deal as we dont NEED to deal....but , have open ears !!
-
Folks...not to say anything WILL happen but if you know how auctions work then you'll understand very little of a serious nature actually comes into play until the hammers dropped twice and is on the way down again.. Then its game on for the wise and experienced. We don't seem to have got anything over the line . But 'time gentlemen please' hasnt been called. Might depend on how desperate others are. . Something just might fall our way. I wouldnt bet that it will. I also wouldnt bet that it won't !!

doesnt actually rule out something though does he...just saying

there are some very negative nannies here. Has me tossed why anyone would presume the Sainters to kick on much...or the pups for that matter. We were able at times to take the game on but seriously lacked scoreboard impact. We havent magically overcome that , but youd have to think Garlett and Hogan effect might add 60-70 goals between them and others.. Thats a pretty big dymanic change. We wont be last ...Essendon have reserved that spot already. I dont know what we might be but im certainly not writing them off even before a ball's bounced; that's crazy. -

Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
beelzebub replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
Often what is said with good intents pans out as something different. I wish Jack well. I'm sure he'll endeavor to do just as he states and play footy again , and for the Dees. I'm sure the club means well and is serious in supporting this. He is contracted I believe til the end of 2015. I sadly predict that some time mid 15( or before ) he'll retire. Take no joy in thinking this , just seems the way it'll be. At some point he'll have to decide between shortish term optimism and longer term reality. He's sliding further and further behind that 8 ball and that's a shame. Howl away !! -
my mail has it that hes been shopped around ....without any real takers.......just saying

even better !! -
There may also be a player or two moved on in a deal..not saying thats a definite but it might be in amongst the 'plays' being considered.. If the cost IS worthwhile...These day sit may well done. The cut-throat nature of these dealing have gone up a notch . Its a by product of the FA I feel.

Red, in reality a, b and c need not be mutually exclusive !! He might well know the typical questions he will be asked, he s most likely quick of mind and he needn't lie to answer in that fashion. As noted elsewhere if 2 AND 3 arent being used together then his answers are all bone fide -

I like this , not for the reason that it suggests the trade is a goer ( it could be , it may not be ) .. I like it because you have nicely hit upon the "language" of footy and especially around this time of year is all about the exceptionally careful and crafty choices of words. Its very 'pollie' like in nature..get asked about A...reply about B. Quite fascinating to observe
