I've revised my stance marginally on Etihad...if someone ante's up I'l sit in the Medallion Club on the wing... that was ok. I did notice at eh Ess game there wasnt a huge Melb crowd in front of me...ie..the more Eastern side ( spencer st ) There were quite a few around me. It's not our favourite place historically. I suspect given our recent win/loss there folk might warm to it a bit. It will take years though..and I still need to find more people willing to shout !!

tbh I don't know how you separate those elements. Is it not surely that he HAS been a 4 time premier...B & F etc etc that IS why he is who he is and colours that which he brings ? He's already bringing "it". IT is starting to wash off on the others ( that need it or can use it ) The more he instructs, and the more others listen then the less he needs to instruct and they will just start doing of own accord...after they "get it " These games of sport are often only differing of one side to another by way of a collection of nuances. The knowing of where to be ( and not )..an understanding of a difference of meters to being effective and being in the way. The likes of Lewis are gold..I hope we can always find room for someone who has these qualities to constantly refine our own abilities. Good teams never stop learning/evolving

i'm not sure the changes are that hard for a change. Gawn's a given. so he's an IN We have to manage personnel over these weeks. Jones and Watts are now risky ventures...for the games(s) ahead . How much so ? Chunk the more likely definite out for the week. So you need a very aerobic running mid to fill a spot..not fill Jones' spot as such necessarily just the mix of mids.. Its a big long ground. My first ( and only tbh ) thoughts went to Stretch. Whilst JKH would feel stiff he's not an AFL level mid ( yet ..or ever ) He's fine around the fwd 50 in a fashion but he isnt imho a slot in mid; SS is. If Max is in..who for ? Again. Max doesn't have to ruck all day. He and Pedo can wax the fwd /ruck role. Win Win and we can rest Jackie who more than deserves to be looked after. This weeks list all but picks itself for mine. Next weeks....well.... and then somehow you start thinking that Watts and Hogan are coming back what a dilemma !!!

Oscar, credit where due , played a pearler. He had a lot of company also as it was a commensurate team effort today. He certainly contributed. Keep going. One swallow does not a summer make, neither two a swoop but ... Definitely maintaining an improvement. Next game awaits

Gawn comes in...but no necessity to play all game in ruck. He can play some time rotating through the tapwork with stints up front. Stretch is more a top up in the middle than JKH at this level. They're my thoughts.
