Im not sure what aspect of Monday i enjoy more. That we won, that we came to play at the start, that somehow we got the act together after halftime , that Clarry found he can kick, that various picked their games up, that Watt's got to have his little 'moment'. Then of course there's the meltdown that many of the B/W seem to be experiencing !!!

In some years of past there might simply be a nod to Mfcss in not considering a healthy finish to a season. In many seasons there are distinct trends. Teams have played,won, lost according to the nap of the play, as it were. This year is just bizarre. Pick A ...bound to be B etc. Anyone and everyone is winning/losing against conventional opinion. Tossing coins is proving as accurate a method as any. Picking the run home ? ... Where's the dartboard ?

I for one did. it's classically 50/50 atm. Very easy to mount a case to say we might win 7/8 I understand however the season is THAT even that games against the Bullies, Weagles, Port, Swannies arent a gift. Carlton are starting to play a decent game..dont ink that in straight away..Should win....but there's lots of games we SHOULD win I expect to beat the Aints...again danger game...Pies last round..we'll be playing for a decent spot in finals perhaps..they will wont us as a scalp seeing they WONT make finals.

Melb v Filth qbw IS the prototype of all footy big-games. Like so much about this game...we start it.....others usurp us. Time to take back our rightful position and become powerful again. Collingwood should be thankful they get to play us on such an occasion. It's the only way they can garner any class.

Definitely one of a number of wtf decisions. A good tackle by Jack. He's getting quite decent at tackling. Seldom gets pinged for getting then wrong.

It won't get the plaudits it really deserves. I'm biased of course but it's right up there for goal of the week. Why ? Understanding of the moment; the action to gut run and position himself, to commit to the play.. it's do or die, its brickbats or bouquets. To know the weight of that moment, to own it, to do it. Chris , what you describe is fair. For some ( myself included) that's requisite of a job done ok. Nothing warranting the fanfare being offered. He did ok in the second half. The first was nothing to write home about indeed the 1st qtr was lamentable. He has a long way still to go before , if indeed does, becoming a more than decent back of note. Many might have that as a card marked. It's purely obsevational and various opinions drawn. Playing an ok game is not the be all. Playing well is the bar. When/if Oscar plays a whole game OK that will be another step up. Still...in all fairness, there's a lot of his teammates yet to play a whole game. When he does, when the team does we'll be far more accomplished and successful. Ill take the 4 points and a nod to those improving. Oscar did ok... eventually. Thats better for sure than not.
