Totally uncalled for even if true

Cant see us and a PP being ever in the same room. Not sure if anyone else will ever get one again either

still do this in Winter I REALLY dont care much for Summer..Take those three months..add 2 to spring and one to Autumn.... be fine by me
  4. beelzebub replied to Redleg's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
I like Winter....much preferred to horrible hot summers
  5. No its not HH...tfft huh Ironic that names likes Wines are noted There will always be some that do...of course. I don't think it's a stretch to suggest history would have us side with a thinking that goes to the notion its often more like 2-3 seasons before most show where they're heading. We can't keep having the teams age median so low. Cant have games average so low. As long as it is were underdogs and underdone. We need to recruit some ability and experience. ..and now or its a perpetual game of catch up footy and we never will.

You hang on to...interesting desperative context... to whom ever only for as long as they are the best option. Im not suggesting shopping him around but youd be silly to never listen to offers.

more laughable is that you not consider such outright.Good teams know when to move. Youve got blinkers on.

not necessarily. Who knows how any trades evolve at a particular juncture. Mac needs a run with to finish off his workm Why not get players who dont. You know...improve. T mac would not be high on anyones replacement list and thats fair enough but to suggest hes " hands off" is laughable.

of course he...for the right price, the right trade etc. He's good , hes not AA , he has flaws. Certainly not on the unreplacable list by any means.. That some are saying he needs a classier player alongside to give off to suggest we mightnt have the right player in the first place. Hes certainly amongst our best , but quite frankly were arent that good . I think ideals as "not for sale " need to be tempered with a realistic appreciation of where were are...or more the point where we're not.
  10. This gives us NO immediate divend and for mine just conitnues this notion that kids are the salvation . Thery arent. They are part of a replenishmnet and regrowth but they are NOT the reason you will climb up a ladder. Given a decent fwd set up of sorts next year you dont want to starve them game after game. You need a really effective midfield and some depth to it. . Two more kids who might take anywhere from 2-4 seasons to get really going dont add to it , not in a hurry anyway. By all means get some new young blood but prioritise the recruiting of more Tysons , Vinces, Crosses etc. This immediately steps up the list. trade 3 and 4
  11. I just want players lads who can play and understand footy dont give a rats about beep lets move on...go back to footy
  12. a name for the board ? Roos, News and Views
  13. With the likelihood of us actually ending up with 3 and 4, not very far fetched at and with history's page alerting all to what we're more than happy to do I'm betting there will be more than a couple of suitors
  14. Agree with you re Jimmy. Im not having a go at him as such its just there might lay better value for him to return and they win , he wins ,WE win..All happy . Goes with my thinking also that Chips real value sits with his compo. Shiel and Dangerfiled would be amazing pickups...even just to get one keeps the midfield advancing and thats what needs to happen..We need to keep stepping up. My thinking simply revolves around thenotion that many are salivating at the possibility of EARLY picks and I dont hink we'll have them Why ? Roos doesnt work this way and I reckon hes is absolutely right. Reminds me of driving a brand new car out of the lot..Instant mega loss of value... its the same in reverse I reckon with early draft picks...they just arent really worth their hyped up status. Let others go that way and take the beefed up trade and run .
  15. I like your thinking Certainly not against the notion of sending Toumpas home is all agreeable
  16. Just as a hypothetical We finish exactly where we are 16th...lamentable but now seemingly probable ergo Pick 3 Chip takes the coin....we get pick 4 as compensation. oooh ...tasty lollies !! The way of the Roos is that a bird in the hard is two in the bush or actually a high pick is worth a known disenchanted or misunderstood player (possibly with go home syndrome ) plus a latter 1st round pick. Just humour me please fellow demonlanders Pick 3 and 4, yes both are traded for DECENT run in players with some pedigree and KNOWN ability . Also ,and its a bit of a game so I;ll proffer we might also still retain picks 12 and 18 ( somewhat arbitrary but had to pick something ) i.e maybe a late middle order Ist rounder and a late Ist rounder So again its all hypothetical ..Weve now got 2 non noobie Mids of good ability and picks 12 and 18 who do we pick, who is possibly still there or hidden ? I seriously think this is how we might go about it. Gives us something now and something later. Immediate boost to the mid field and something to develop and depth Who ?
  17. We only agree A of b that there needs to be a balance redress. You seem to happily gloss over the cause.
  18. Very good a of b ignore the gist and thrust . so be it. improving the best 22 IS done by getting ready mades and NOT perpetually gettinv kids who might be good one day possibly ( and yes I mean the likes of Toumpas ) We seemed hell bent on using high picks to bolstet the kiddy stocks going forward.. its a Munana edict. Roos believes otherwise and im with him. I agree a balance is desirable but I believe thats better achieved by actually having a team that CAN play and slowly introducing developed youngsters as opposed to this foolish notion that if you keep going for "elite" talented (?) Teens you MUST somehow raise the median of your list. The past has been every bit about collecting kids for rainy days and has been an abject failure and is why we're currently in the mess we're in.
  19. So you do advocate trading and using latter picks. Funny thought that was the exact point I proposed
  20. A of B My point..accepting yours is previous efforts have upset that balance. I would think Roos will try to use early picks for goid value workers and look for inspired selections a little later in the draft with picks we get back as change...etc. Balance would be nice. Scales need an almighty shove in other direction atm to even have a hope of that (balance)
  21. Look at the different tac Roos has already taken compare the decade preceding.I fully expect him to continue that path if not ramp it up. Stkilda is just a total fukk up
  22. If we end up with 2 early picks I think its bankable Roos will do another Tyson-esque trade deal. Might even do it with both picks. I would. Gives immediate impact. For mine its about improving the playing list..bettering the best 22 not collecting kids for a rainy day.
  23. Winning IS everything. This club just gasnt cottoned on yet !!!
