  1. i don't think people realise how much the sale of foxtel will change afl and nrl coverage in oztraya cricket will be somewhat 'safe' because of the i(b)cc(i) and the value of international rights for a global sport but afl and nrl? gonna be interesting to see how it goes i think last deal 70% of the broadcast rights came from news corp for both codes?
  2. wait... are you saying that bedford is better than chandler, pickett, and spargo? mcadam i could understand, sure, but not the latter three
  3. Oh I am believe you me - I probably wasn’t clear that I’m pleased by the announcement I think this is a great second step toward getting it ready to go Still a fair journey ahead but we are further advancing - from a communication standpoint to fans as much as anything - as we were yesterday
  4. not surprised by the amount of negativity i am going to guess that we will wait for a year to have the business case approved before first sods turned 2026; building open in 2030
  5. we can look but we better not touch... off to gc17
  6. players that the various afl medja punditry have linked us to, and away from, in the last six months: ryan angwin (gw$) wade derksen (gw$) dan houston (pear) tim membrey (aints) jake waterman (meth coke) plus we have our own various demonland threads on other players (such as matt kennedy from the baggers) but i'm yet to see anyone in the medja link us to him
  7. are you accusing the afl medja of not having ANY idea of what they're talking about? well i, for one, am shocked
  8. this is one of those instances where, for whatever reason, crikey won't allow me to access anything beyond the third para it's not a bad website, i find, but i'd rather spend a micro-transaction with them than an annual subscription, which is not something that they offer
  9. agreed doing that interview was so unnecessary and nothing good ultimately came from it
  10. from my spot on the afl members that's my wing... max won the toss and we're kicking to the punt rd end
  11. you forgot the ads so...many...ads...
  12. no, he's a small forward who is not overly quick knows where the goals are tho
  13. sa born-and-bred people love the place - literally call it 'god's country' i loved there for about 15 years over two stints; great place to raise kids but very, very quiet except for 2 weeks a year when there's the fringe festival on if you're an incredibly well paid professional sportsman i imagine it's a fantastic place to call home
  14. given the lack of club nominated, i think we can infer it's the pear given that they're still 'live' in the season looks like the houston move to the baggers is definitely 'on' then
  15. he's a pure inside mid he's not quick and his skills are hit-and-miss what the extent of the remains of his contract?
  16. yes, heaven forbid he's been successful
  17. as long as pear or bloods win the grand final, all good from my perspective i really don't want the puddy tatts to make the grand final, but i suspect they're going to win the entire thing
  18. any word on how noah yze went?
  19. seems they're getting darling as a short term option they like combden as a tall forward as well, even tho they tried him back in 2024
  20. pear over bloods for me i like the rotten corpse of ol fitzroy, but they're still the bears to me, and i cannot stand the puddy tatts
  21. yes, but not 'bid' on inside the top 40 during that no-matched-bids era
  22. nah there's a fair few now starting with the most obvious who saw the rules back-flip...jamara ugle-hagan at footscray other eligible players have included: isaac quaynor (filth academy, matched pointed at pick 13) liam henry (flagmantle, matched points at pick 9) connor downie (dingley, matched points at pick 35) then there's also: mac andrew (dees academy, selected by the suns at pick 5) ryley sanders (north, drafted by footscray at pick 6) nick mckenzie (aints, drafted by dingley at pick 7) lance collard (meth coke, drafted by aints at pick 28) mitch edwards (flagmantle, drafted by geelong at pick 32) tew jiath (dingley, drafted by the filth at pick 37) luamon lual (footscray, drafted at pick 39...one before the cut off...by the peptides) i'm assuming there's more as well, but those ones are quite well known, especially mac andrew and luamon lual by dint of where they were selected - respectively, high up, and right before the cut-of where clubs could match
  23. install co-pilot, get it to do the job for you
