that was a pretty poor first quarter from us. geelong were able to take it away from the centre with impunity, and our defensive forwards - toumpas, byrnes - did not put a scintilla of pressure on their running overlap defenders. clisby composed and neat down back, dunn the same, watts and michie working hard on the wings. only three players - cross, spencer and bail - have laid more than one tackle, and then only two tackles each. we've really lacked defensive pressure tonight.
