i'd have him, happily, as as a free agent i think he'd add immediate depth to our side he'd get a game ahead of spargo, hannan, and possibly avb in our side i reckon if we can teach melksham how to be a gun, we could do similar with dahlhaus, and with mccartney there he'd know what sort of a person he is and how he'd fit into our side gaff should, absolutely, be the priority
  2. Almost positive that Hogan played CHF his underage All-oz year but was NAMED at CHB...in much the same way that one year Pavlich played forward all year but was named at FB Heā€™s a natural CHF, roaming up and down the ground, using his endurance to best effect

Lycett will be at Port next year
  4. The final round of the home and away season often turns up shock results - see Port drawing with (I think it was) Richmond a few years back (2012?), Melbourne dropping the game to the filth last year etc. Bears and the Shockers absolutely could get it done...hereā€™s hoping they can, and we do the right thing by society and knock off that franchise on our home deck

Matthew Lloyd for mine, without the diving
  6. Really thought this was gonna be about Christian Salem being the hard unit half back general that Hodge is
  7. I donā€™t understand the hate the afl approaches a media personality to gauge his opinion...theyā€™re doing this with a plethora of parties...

geelong third time is the charm!
  9. please let cooper prove to be as talented as his dad but with stronger ligaments
  10. jack had a day out on media street a few weeks ago about how normally at that time of year he was planning what he'd do on his holidays in september and he was looking forward to finally tasting finals footy in 2018 yeah...but nah... i still can't fathom that a player of his undoubted skill has been dropped by every senior coach he has had throughout ten years in the system; it's an absolute indictment on him as a player so happy to have fritsch!
  11. no to trading, no to playing him in the backline he's the best forward we've had in twenty years
  12. as a defender he was horrid, as a mid he was terrible, but as a forward? wow o wow, what a star!
  13. if he comes back, based on the 22 that played yesterday and our current rate of injury returnees, i'd think it'd be spargo that he replaces i'm intrigued by the notion of him getting a run for casey during the bye week there's no reason we should even require special dispensation for that as both teams seasons are ongoing so he should be allowed to suit up, i think?
  14. missed on three, all probably top 4 whoops! i really didn't think we were going to get there; after that run of losses following the amazing run of easybeat wins, i said if we didn't win all three against the aints, shockers, and footscray, that we wouldn't make it we are, however, the road warriors now we just need to learn to win at home!
  15. his ability to keep his feet in and around the contest is superb the thing i want to see him do more is not 'pop' his kicks up more - he gets too close to the man on the mark and skies them every time
  16. Maggots gonna maggot...but at least it felt like a finals like maggot performance where they swallowed thier whistle and paid only the obvious ones, the atrocious AVB decision aside
  17. That kick to Melksham at the end of the game was glorious
  18. No change this week, unforeseen injury or suspensions pending

As if weā€™re going to let either of them go other than for massive overs Frost would be depth at most finals-bound clubs and for the moment has guaranteed himself, injury-permitting, in finals football in 2018 Weed is a young developing key forward who has played bugger all football as a junior and thereā€™s no way weā€™ll let him go He was fantastic today, really attacking the ball and kicking it beautifully He was cooked by midway through the third term but buttered up at the contest time and time again Saw three of his junior games and still think heā€™ll be the pick of the key forwards of his draft year...Curnow or no Curnow Kid has what it takes to be a serious, serious footballer
  20. 6: Gawn 5: Brayshaw 4: Harmes 3: Melksham 2: Hannan 1: Oliver
  21. last time we were in finals i had no children and lived in sydney; now three and in melbourne!!
  22. lots of goals = lots of ads
  23. As long as they lose, tbh, I donā€™t give a hoot what he does or doesnā€™t do Would like them to lose both games to end the year out of finals running so that if - worst comes to worse - we can ā€œfallā€ into finals
  24. Goddard is playing injured - but itā€™s desperate times, desperate measures for the Peppies tonight, so they want their best players in Theyā€™ll win this Tigers are coasting They are SCARY good, and their ability to not have injured players is outstanding Bugger poaching coaches, I want their medical and conditioning staff
