Vale Shane Warne
from my understanding, he played five matches for st. kilda u/19s before he got 'cut' from their squad, i think was the second ranked tennis player for his age group in victoria, and THEN tried his hand bowling a combination of offies and leggies he was clearly one of those blokes who was a 'natural' at playing sport

POSTGAME: Community Series vs Carlton
chris lamb had the biggest turning circle of any player i've seen play for the mfc i remember seeing him get turned inside out by a 36 (or so) year old sav rocca in canberra one pre-season and knew he was never gonna make it right there and then that young fella aaron davey looked pretty orright in the same game tho...

GAMEDAY: AFLW Rd 09 vs Fremantle
getting to 100 points is no small feat - i would imagine that shorter quarters and less players on the field makes scoring opportunities and possession chains that much harder, especially with the aflw players not having the kicking penetration or more polished skills of the aflm players

as long as dusty stays fit the tiggas will be there or thereabouts it's hard to judge on a practice match but the hawks don't appear to have a forward line or an ability to manufacture a score, which is not too dissimilar to their season last year

NON-MFC: Community Series
grimes, prestia, and soldo all looking pretty miserable for the tiggas i think breust for the hawks injured too

riewoldt mouthed off and it took the "respected adjudicator of officialdom" an AGE to call the 50 compared to how red hot they were about it for our praccy game

Are we capitalising on our on-field successes?
pretty sure it was gifted as an area to the aints as part of gilligan's largesse towards his side
-
Are we capitalising on our on-field successes?
mfc stopped being involved with the smjfl area at least three, maybe four, seasons ago aints put in next to no effort with the area
-
Are we capitalising on our on-field successes?
smjfl is very much st kilda's zone, not melbourne's, at least judging by my son's experience a couple of years back it was so blatant that if you signed up as a junior you got a complimentary saints membership

POSTGAME: Community Series vs Carlton
i had no issues with the 50s against jordon (failure to hand the ball directly back), viney (blocked the previous 50s run forward), and langdon (another failure to hand it directly back) the one against clayton was pretty harsh but, as per above, technically 'there' as he clearly thought it was a dees free (as it arguably should have been) but, in particular, the penalties against tomlinson and t mac (note: not trac; it was against t mac for raising his arms in disgust in the umpire's direction after cripps ducked and earned a free) were absolutely laughable things that looked like they worked: fritsch as our main forward target lift in intensity in the second half things that looked like they didn't work: missing 5 of the premiership back 6 gus at half-back lack of intensity in the first half mostly, it seemed to be like we blew out some cobwebs ahead of the real thing starting in 13 or so days
