Mids, mids, and more mids We have a special first three but after that it falls away in terms of skill, speed, and execution Our second string mids are average After that I’d say it’s outside run with skill, marking targets forward But, really, I would assume the priorities that our recruiters look at are the same as always: - can they win their own football? (Attitude) - can they execute under pressure? (Skill) - can they cope with the stresses and pressures of the afl environment? (Character)

Bears have been a perennial top 4-6 side for the last five or so years? That's the definition of being in a premiership window I would’ve thought; very different to the aints one finals appearance every couple of years making them think they need to bring in high priced experience to ‘take them over the top’ Bears are pretty good in my book; the question is, are they good enough? So far over the last half decade, they haven’t proven to be

Improving the Demons coaching staff for 2023?
whatwhat say what replied to Supreme_Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
he'd be our #1 rotation mid in 2023, just like he was at geelong in 2022 but i love that he's retiring a champion of the game as reigning premiership skipper- 104 replies

no, we don't - it would be a cash drain with no real return on investment what, like the fully upgraded casey facility and massive improvement to gosch's? those quality training facilities?

if - and let's face it, when - he misses on peptides, how many times will he have been 'next best' coaching option? is it only the peptides and gw$ that he's been in the running to win? or did he have interviews elsewhere last year, or even the year before? i'd rather take north or the bears than the peptides gig

it's not just $1.6m over the next 2 years tho, is it? it's $1.6m over the next 2 years then, you'd think, at a bare minimum $0.8m over the two after that he's not going to want to sign only a two year deal - he's looking for security of position in the afl system as much as he's looking to FINALLY get paid what gc17 have owed him over a period of time it's a big commitment

i'm one of jog's biggest critics on this site but he's a far superior player to cerra the only way i wanted to see gus moved on was if it meant that dog was definitely staying; the minute we confirmed the former was staying it was obvious the later was on the way out
