That to me just shows they can’t handle opposition pressure. Messier to hit targets when you know nothing is on the line or no one is going to smash into you.

The forwards are not the problem. The delivery into the forwards meant that no forward had a chance. But in saying that the forwards would have helped if they could convert and hold the ball in or slow the rate it came out.

Tbh I hate the fact that the game I loved holds very little for me at the moment. I just don’t enjoy the games or the style of play.

I understand what you are saying Macca, but life changes, for me I no longer live inner Melb, it’s a whole day excursion to go to a game, add in late starts and very early work starts doesn’t help. I also have taken up Archery which is also on weekends, I’m coming back to Europe next year Jul/Aug so it isn’t always so black and white. And to be completely honest I am not enjoying football at all. I like to think of my self as a rusted on supporter and after following the Dees, Rams and Bolton... well let’s say I struggle to choose teams well ? I def won’t be getting reserved seats and GGF tix, wether I buckle and get a 3 game or country membership only time will tell. I won’t criticise others for not renewing as I don’t think it’s ever as easy as you should or shouldn’t. Life’s never that simple.

I recommend Prague and Slovakia. Get to these for cheap food, beer and cool little places .

Next year is my 20th consecutive and 25th overall. (Missed a year as I didn’t work for a year with injuries). Went a full year when recovering from a broken hip. This year I’ve not watched any game not involving Melbourne, turned games off, not even turned games on that did involve us. I’m 99% sure I’m done or at most a country membership. The four hour+ round trips and cost ain’t fun and we will be welcoming Sunday twilight games next year. Auto renew will be cancelled. Reserved seat and GGF def not taken. Hope im the jinx and it works out well for the rest of you.

How is he putting the boots in? He says he believes in the coach and club, but thinks they still would be best served by an external review. I agree. Within a club you see what you want to, those outside see what’s there.

Like so many in the AFL, he is a midfielder who gets put on the hbf to provide rebound but doesn’t know how to defend that well, he has learnt a lot and is a million times better than say Fritsch at it, but he ain’t a natural defender. Good forwards beat him to space.
