Farewell Luke Jackson
Yeah you would think they know to a certain extent. Negotiate enough contracts and they would know the signs. Gus would be different as he is a RFA. So he has different options but so do the club.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Yup. Predictably is good but when a key cog isn’t working you love other cogs around.

Farewell Luke Jackson
People always say “why don’t they come out and tell us” The reactions of people on here is why. Id be happy to know he was leaving at seasons end, he is a professional who would do his best to help us win the flag this year. I don’t boo players, the club will dump them just as quickly. Yes it will suck when he leaves but I’ll just keep following the team.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
No chance. Even though we have been average for ages Goodwin refuses to put him back to a wing or in the centre, even for 5 mins when we are getting beaten. Hell, when Clarrie missed he put an average performing Sparrow in there more rather than move Gus in there. Once Goodwin is set for a position for that player they are there for the year.

I think that is against the AFL rules.

CHANGES: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Bedford gone. Oliver in. Melksham did well in the last, but I’d prob get rid of him too.

My 3 word player analysis V Pt Power
Gawn - can’t be fit. Pickett - highlight reel performance Viney - consistent 4 quarters Petracca - class showed out Langdon - vital outside running Sparrow - disposal is putrid Jordon - solid, won’t star Fritsch - selfish and arrogant Brown - clunking his marks Jackson - not playing well Hibberd - a cracking game Harmes - hit or miss May - beaten all over Brayshaw - reliable and consistent Spargo - some better connections Melksham - important in last Neal-Bullen - great multiple efforts Tomlinson - justified his selection Salem - shocking kicking again Rivers - good return Lever - injured early Bedford - ghost, was unseen

POSTGAME : Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Why can’t Salem kick?

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Yup, said in a group chat, we have 5 games coming up and can easily lose them all. We haven’t been great all year, we have had great qtrs etc and got wins, but overall been good, but not great and if we play like we have been, including today, we are making up numbers.

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Bedford is a ghost out there, unseen. Melksham is the worst selection choice of the year for all clubs across the globe.

But is he the peoples Judean front?

The Run Home
My biggest watch in the next 5 weeks will be the coaching staffs input, in team selection, positional selection, and telegrams to the game plan style. We have failed against Cat, Freo, Swans, Pies with our style. Do they stay the same or tweak.

Head high tackles
A player one day will follow through as they know they have him high due to him doing this and will end up hurting him. I’ll have zero sympathy for him when it happens, no matter the injury.

The Run Home
Of course, but our trick has been worked out, they don’t allow us the spare back, move quickly and make sure they don’t kick long. Ensure they set up for kick ins to the left, ensure the sweeper is there at centre bounce etc. So far they have worked all that out. Clarko use to always say that you tweaked the game plan each off season and then once to twice in season. We need change, with Oliver out I’d get Brayshaw straight back to the midfield.

The Run Home
One of the more interesting things for me is that people keep saying, “We aren’t at our best. We will flick the switch. We were like this last year. Our best is still the best.” For me, I think our best last year was the best. But I don’t think we will get to that level. We pretty much have had a full list most of the year, a few injuries but not like 5 missing from our best, we have a game plan that’s been countered and I haven’t seen our counter to theirs. Or a new play. the run home will be determined by is playing above what we are now, but unless we have a new tweak to the game plan and imo some much needed positional changes we will not suddenly rise to the absolute heights we did last year. still means we are a chance to win it all, but it won’t be a demolition like last year, this run home will determine how well we hit September.

Weid or Rooy?
Nah at best thommo to CHB and Petty chf. But I’d prefer Disco to CHB and Petty forward if we don’t want to blood van Rooyen

Our kick out strategy
I’d love to see a stat on how many of our kick ins lead to another f50 entry. I reckon it would be quite high. Of we kicked elsewhere every 5th it means the opposition would need to be more aware but everyone knows what’s about to happen. Just another thing we do exactly the same each week even once it’s broken.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I could take one on it…

Is our offense a problem?
Whilst all the stats look great, it’s always hard to marry two years up. Have we played better or worse teams this year to last etc To me they feel similar because like last year we dominated inside 50’s and our conversion was avg to poor quite often. For me I don’t think our connection to our forwards is great, but I’ve also thought we have been too tall all year. BBB and Fritta should be our talls with Max and Dogga also chiming in. With another tall we are to easy to rebound against.

What They Are Saying at Moorabool Street
I always say to them, if they used the money for the upgrades better they could have demolished the tiny shizenstadium and built one made for humans and not ants for the same cost!

What They Are Saying at Moorabool Street
It’s their home ground. Why would they be complaining?

What They Are Saying at Moorabool Street
To be fair, not one cats supporter down this way (that I’ve spoken too, and it’s a lot of them) wants this game on a Thursday night either.

What They Are Saying at Moorabool Street
Sure, but he hasn’t smashed May yet…. But he is a decent player, that Petty will smash.

Hawkins is more a threat. two of the last three times he has smashed mays eye and made him pull a hammy.
