  1. He's down like a clown Ben buh.... Down like a clown Ben buh.... Down like a clown Ben buh...
  2. The Daw love-fest from Sandy and Ed is hideous. Roosy at one stage the voice of reason when Petracca beat him about 3 times in 2 seconds..."was that Christian that got it forward?"
  3. Cliche alert...umpiring is [censored] early!
  4. Good option, but the 'G is a 7 hour drive from home, so I've left that run a bit late. I have come up with a brilliant compromise (for me) though. Buy some of the local beer and stay at home to watch the game live. All the taste of the brewery plus the footy. As a bonus the boy gets to listen up to some profane language. #FatheroftheYear
  5. Australia Under 18 V North Melbourne VFL at 11:05am
  6. Slightly conflicted. Daughter has a 'rock climbing' party to attend at 3:30. Right next to the rock climbing centre is a brewery with a great tap room and also a great outdoor area for kids. Wife suggests she takes daughter to party and I can spend some 'quality' time with the boy at the brewery. I'd need to record the game and enforce a complete media blackout until home...and that would also mean talking to the boy, who I love dearly, but conversations at the moment are solely about cars (Mustangs and Bugattis) and beyblades (whatever the [censored] those are). Or, stay at home and swear at the TV in real time.
  7. You should step up that protest by refusing to post here as well...
  8. Getting a bit sick of Kelli Underwood on Fox reminding us that "it's all about Ablett today"
  9. This is worth a bump...after 48 days ol Deano made it to Cartagena in Columbia and smashed the South American World Record by 10 days! Now in Panama and cycling on. He's had food poisoning twice, ran into a highway sign at 40km/h (not food poisoning related), and has gone from 88kg to 81kg so far. Bloody Legend!
  10. They'll have to cop it in terms of penalties and being called 'cheats' for the rest of their careers (post-career too). Pathetic news to wake up to. Thank god the footy has started
  11. Has anyone mentioned Ben Stratton's mullet yet? Superb!
  12. I'd love to see him run through Selwood. That's not really Maynard-specific though, I'd love to see anyone run through Selwood.
  13. Bruce has already found him guilty..."probably won't being playing next week". I think your second suggestion is correct.
  14. BT two nights in a row..spare me. Thank goodness the cricket's on, just have to put up with Warnie there...pretty close call actually
  15. Looks like the white shorts got washed with the blue guernseys...back in the old days when colours ran in the wash. And what's with the reflective bum-cheek highlights? I [censored] hate Carlton...wankers!
  16. I was riding my treadlie past the Junction Oval one day in the late 90s and the Rev was in the carpark getting something out of the boot of his car. "Go Dees" I bellowed and he turned around and gave a smile and a wave...either that or he flipped me the bird, I was riding pretty fast and it was hard to tell. Lovely fella and a terrible thing that's happened to him.
  17. Bloody father-in-law...apologies for the interruption lads, I'll leave you to it!
  18. Hi all, might be my first visit ever to this thread...so I am happy for this to be taken with as much skepticism as can be expected with an anonymous tip on the interwebs. Father-in-law has 'recommended' Peaceful State in the Randwick Guineas. There's a family connection so maybe he's just being hopeful...
  19. SC for me, but will add my thoughts. Currently running with: Def: Hibberd, Salem Mid: - Ruck: Gawn Fwd: Petracca (mid), Fritsch (pending R1 selection) I usually try not to pick Dees unless they are rookies getting a game or I think they are really good value. The team itself causes me enough pain without ruining my SC as well. I've picked Salem before because he always looks like value and ready to breakout...so that selection will be reviewed plenty of times before R1. Might give Spargo a run as a floating donut as well.
  20. Question mark over their hardness in the 80's (maybe earlier). Buddha Hocking was 'The Cat with the lead pipe in his handbag'...legend!
  21. Bandaids and hot dogs...a match made in heaven
