  1. Oh great. A first round pick on a ruckman who could take three or four years to develop and might turn out to be a bust. Splendid.
  2. Oliver Hollands is the one for me - likely to be around about when we make our first selection at pick 14.
  3. Good morning folks - for the next 36 hours only, it’s time for … SAINTLAND St Kilda Saints Talk about the second-greatest (by a long way) Football Club in the World .... The St Kilda Saints Let’s do our best to get the Saints up and over the Sydney Swans tomorrow afternoon at the second home of football. And if they can’t win, at least, to keep the margin to a manageable level. After all … we love a close game!!! Go Saints! ⚫️⚪️🔴⚫️⚪️🔴⚫️⚪️🔴⚫️⚪️🔴⚫️⚪️🔴
  4. Almost made the biggest AFL crowd at the Gabba this year - just touched out by Collingwood earlier in the season when the weather was more pleasant.
  5. 6. Jack Viney 5. Christian Petracca 4. Bayley Fritsch 3. Angus Brayshaw 2. Kysaiah Pickett 1. Michael Hibberd
  6. Now look. I don’t usually complain about the umpires and I’m fully aware that it’s a hard task recruiting umpires but fair go. There has to be a royal commission into what took place at Adelaide Oval today. Here’s an example of what I’m talking about. What in blazes is this all about?
  7. One would hope so. I took a look at the stats for Van Rooyen compared with Mac Andrew and JVR scored 68 Dream Team Points for - Jacob Van Rooyen 3 goals 7 kicks 5 handballs 12 disposals 3 marks 1 tackle 4 hit outs Andrew scored 65 Dream Team Points for - Mac Andrew 9 kicks 3 handballs 12 disposals 8 marks 2 tackles It doesn’t sound right to me because JVR’s contribution looked far superior on the screen and statistically. Andrew spent a fair amount of time on Mitch Brown who beat him convincingly.
  8. The all-conquering Melbourne Storm were stomped on by the Penrith Panthers last night after some monster wins. Beware Melbourne!
  9. Jake Bowey’s second game of AFL footy. Lots of water under the bridge since then.
  10. It’s looming as a situation whereby we should be glad that AMW slipped under the radar last year while Mac Andrew was getting all of the attention from the recruiters.
  11. MFCSS says it’s predictable that the Giants won’t miss their shots in the last.
  12. Let’s not get carried away just yet with our young blokes - it’s only pre-season training time and the practice matches are still a good few weeks away.
  13. On what I’ve seen of JVR, he will play up forward.
  14. Earlier training photos had Andy Moniz-Wakefield wearing the #41 so JMcV gets another jumper - perhaps 43?
  15. I used to be a grumpy person but winning the premiership has turned me into a model citizen. I don’t litter the streets and I help little old ladies cross the road. I’ve become a cross between Mahatma Ghandi and Jesus.
  16. Considering the subject matter, it’s quite humorous.
  17. The idea of playing in the first match of the round grew on me last year when we won those Friday night games. Looking forward to it now.
  18. The NGA system for all clubs except the northern academies is basically on its knees. Who would spend years developing a kid for him to be virtually open slather for selection by other clubs.
  19. Ned Long was an early stand out in the NAB League. What happened to him?
  20. It was confirmed today by the AFL that Melbourne’s NGA nominations for the draft were Mac Andrew and Andy Moniz-Wakefield. Former NGAs in Kobi George and Ryan Koo Kwet Kim we’re not nominated by the club.
