  18. I'm sure it's been mentioned in this thread already but I go back to the forward 50 pressure. It seemed with all the inside 50s were getting we really just needed to get more forward 50 stoppage and more scoring shots from entries. It's pretty simple but it's been in my opinion the biggest difference. You a unit of Kozzie, Spargo and ANB but also guy like Fritsch are making good tackles in the 50 as well. I feel that this has rubbed off on those guys but also the others who have bought in and we don't look unsure of ourselves anymore. We're forcing more stoppages which is what guys like Clarry and Viney want all day. We really did play like individuals at times last year. Certain players wanted to be the hero and they were 'me' guys before 'we' guys. We now have a team of switched on players who are willing to do whatever necessary to help a mate out. With all these factors the confidence grows and multiple players look better as a result.
  19. I know a lot of the questions are around what's changed with Melb but for me I'd like to be asking what's changed with ANB? We all knew he was a hard working guy who runs his socks off every game, hes always had a decent kick into the 50. But thats what I'd like to figure out. Is he running smarter now and not around in circles? Is he more in sync with the other forwards? Etc
  20. I don't really cheer for ex players to perform but this is an exception. Kick a bagful Jesse!
  21. Couldn't agree more with all 3, especially Spargo's tackle. Was out of my seat in a flash. No.2 was also massive in context. I honestly didn't care at the time what happened, who's free kick it was or what anyone said to hurt the others feelings but I just felt this burst of pride wash all over me in that moment. I said in the post game thread that we were here and we weren't going to be pushed over or intimidated.

We're the only team that gets these personal habit/life digs. You don't hear about Geelong fans heading down the Bellerine to go fishing or Richmond fans heading to certain establishments.
  23. Yep, work rate across the board and repeat efforts. Takes serious discipline and mental toughness but these guys have it right now.
