  1. Absolutely smashing the clearances. Make it count
  2. What a grab by Trac. He's looking so strong
  3. Totally agree, if there's any future for him at all it's in the forward 50
  4. Just saw the pre game Zoom with Mahoney. Sounds like Hunt will be spending more time up forward for speed around the contest. Has a point bit to prove, would love to see him snag a couple.

Was way too early to even be talking about crowds at games before the restart even got underway. But while we're at it I too would be pretty peeved if members weren't given preference. Actually I wouldn't be peeved I'd be flabbergasted because what would be the incentive to sign up in future?

Love the question. I think talent wise 94 can't be beaten. 2000 had great talent too but it was also a partial rebuild which some may not have predicted to do quite as well as they did. 98 was probably the best chance to smash and grab. I'm going with 94, the bees difference being an injury free Ox.

I voted no but give it a shot why not. Having a steadfast opinion on anything right now is futile, have to try things. Doesn't mean it's not weird though.
  8. Remember when Luke Darcy pointing to guys like Jack Watts growing beards and saying this was the reason we were losing by 100 points each week was a thing?
  9. At least for the time being we can boo until our lungs are sore.

Yeah I wasn't sure about this and didn't really get the rationale behind it. Shorter quarters but more on the bench. The people 'for' shorter quarters use the point that the best players stay on longer so how would this help that argument? One or the other I think.
  11. We need guys who are prepared to run both ways.

Just wait for the ball to hit a defenceless cutout of a young kid in the crowd and HD cameras catching it perfectly. Have fun with that PR AFL.
  13. He's great value on Twitter Mags!

Yeah I know, it is simplistic. And I think most of us hope we even get another 5 year period to have that crack. I Just feel like we're in this 'one foot in front of the other phase' for the moment. Like most businesses just trying to survive and come out the other end and then try to build it back up again. Still so much uncertainty though.
  15. He's a thumping kick but just needs to tighten up this area with routine consistency in front of goal. Would hope we lock him in.
  16. Yep prefer to donate more than request a refund. Hang in there DL.
  17. Can't really fault the list. I think Farmer reached the greatest heights so no.1 is sealed. Flash for what he turned into can't be ignored, a great career and always someone you were glad was on our side.

Only thing that's going to help us is results at this stage. Members that can help the club thank you, members doing it tough I understand. We just need results.
  19. What's the point, cardboard cutouts are the future anyway.
  20. After reading the Brock McLean article I can't help but think he's in the same mould. Hopefully he gets it together.
  21. One of the more strange and weird articles I've seen recently. Firstly I'm sorry to hear about his struggle and hopefully he's finally on the up. No-one deserves to feel worthless. Things have never quite added up when it came to Brock and his football career. Great in and under on baller, good vision to make up for his lack of pace. Was part of the future identity of our club going forward and putting 10k of his own money to our cause led by Jimmy highlighted his then love for the club. He then leaves, urinates on his former club on live tv and then goes on a trail of erratic behavoir attacking trolls on Twitter and losing the plot in games. After he left Melbourne I never heard him say a nice thing about the club again. Not saying he didn't have good reason to but it's very sad when this wasn't just any MFC player. In 2016 I was coming back from Bright after the annual Brighter Days festival and saw him at the Euroa servo with a crew of biker types, probsbly means nothing but it does explain a bit about the company he was keeping around the time of his lowest of lows. Don't have much else to say about it really, just these observations. The photo was disturbing. Nothing wrong with his image but when paired with this article it wreaks of identity crisis.
  22. One of the saddest days in footy was Fitzroy’s last game and it was in Perth. Very similar feel, who knows when we see our beloved Demons again in the Comp we know and love. 1 quarter to go.
  23. Done with zonal defending
  24. That’s the Melbourne I know
  25. Bit late to the party but there’s nothing but strange feelings. Haven’t felt like this since the merger game in 96.
