Achilles tendinitis for CMC. No idea what it means for his ETA. Could be managing it all season for all we know.

Very disappointing from the Jets. Thought they were onto something when they put together the drive which ended with the Breece Hall TD. But Rodgers struggled to get more happening after that. Give him at least 2 or 3 games and I think we'll see better. Struggled to stop the run and could get really any pressure on Purdy, for a pass rush like theirs it was surprising and our line isn't exactly good or even above average.

We seem to be linked with a who's who of underwhelming recycled soft drink cans.

The only time I've ever heard it happening was when I heard Sam Newman talk about his kidney injury in the late 60s. They took him into the rooms and left him on a rub down table where they were going to wait until half time to check on him but when they realised how serious it was he was rushed to the Alfred. But that's the only one I can think of and it was over half a century ago.

Tony Charlton's Football Show: 'Norm Smith Sacked'. The entire 1hr live episode.
These are some of my favourite threads on Demonland. I’ve said this countless times over the years but as a kid growing up as the only MFC fan in their family and minimal success during that time, I would absorb as much material as possible about our history and the legends of our club. Books, videos, old footy records you name it. It was like a solo expedition and there were few others to discuss it with. I personally get a lot out of reading posts from all of you who lived through these era or have great knowledge, I just wanted to say thank you all and please keep it up. 🙂

So good to have the whole ep, for years I relied on the 40 seconds they used on the 100 years of football video.

I found that a real wishy washy part of the interview saying that we didn't need an external review but that we get external advice all the time, including "one of the all blacks we had down recently". Then low and behold we're having an external review with a former All Blacks advisor. What does this all mean? The coincidence is annoying. The comms and PR coming out of the club has been complete garbage for a while now and we're constantly left to connect the dots.

Does the club need a full and external review?
Haha. "Who do you want to talk to first, the guy in the bumblebee suit or the guy with the bone in his hair?"

Turner isn't mid-sized.

Exactly. Kids don't care about the news, it's boring. Kids want to see zany antics, wow factor, dancing, animals close up with a wide-angled lens etc.

Same here and if you're not utilising it you're not in the game. Things are time sensitive, attention spans are short. Email marketing campaigns for promotions and competitions are great but if you happen to enter one and then have to wait days or weeks for the result, the engagement is lost. What we need is Social Media campaigns with "First person to answer this wins X" Or "Enter this competition, results drawn at 6pm TONIGHT". These people are going to be spending their free time on these platforms regardless, make sure they spend it on your channel.

Giveaways and calls to action, you just need someone who knows half a thing about what they're doing with the socials. We tend to lean on the email marketing quite heavily still, which is fine but that's not where the majority of the target market is.
