It's getting a little cringe tbh.
  3. And don't forget a mongrel with mongrel.
  4. Happy birthday Charlie Knuckles, have a great one.
  5. This is exactly why I didn't see it coming, if anything he should be a no.9. That's hilarious btw, I always see No.2 as the more boring and dour but honest CB or FB in the team.

    He's a good player agent
  7. I don't think Langford is going to be likened to anyone, he's a massive point of difference aerially and with his left foot. Could be a metres gained player like Hayden Young or a physical presence like Trac, who knows.
  8. Never forget you can make up 2cm in height through sheer mongrel.
  9. Didn't expect Turner with 10. At all.

Man I wish I could find the membership card thing they sent out that year with all the draftees, the fresh faced shot of Max always made me laugh. I kept this on the fridge for years and had scribbled out the photo of the no.1 pick and wrote some expletives next to it.
  11. Plenty but Harrison Petty is the key one for me. The foot was clearly an issue early on but if he gets a good pre season in I'm confident he can provide value whether forward or back. Tom Sparrow another one who really needs to cement his place. The coaches could do him a favour too by dropping this HFF experiment. Oliver for obvious reasons and for god's sake Christian Salem if you can just recapture half of that 2021 form then we'll be in good stead. McAdam will be playing for his career at this point so a big year from him is necessary, give us 10 possessions and 1-2 goals a game and you'll be in. Kade Chandler ditto, needs to get more of it and do better with what he does get. I'm surprised that Jake Lever hasn't been mentioned, needs to stay healthy. To be honest you could name half the list.

As it stands I'll have up until April on my current Kayo subscription but will be cancelling. Really don't want to and I do appreciate the Members price but it's just a bit much at this point of the year which the Xmas period to come. We'll see how it goes but I think there could be a lot more pub going.
  17. I don't think there will be an ANB replacement to put it bluntly. I'm sure that nearly every big MFC fan understands the value that he brought to the high HFF/Mid role with incredible defensive pressure but I'm still not sure if they quite get just how critical he was to our structure and the way we were playing. You really did have to sit in the MCG and zone on him for a few minutes at a time to see just how much his pressing up and tracking back, the angles he would run and filling the space was critical to locking it in and making sure we were setup behind the ball. It's what ANB did without the ball that was imperative to our setup and that goes far beyond just the defensive pressure, getting in ball carrier's faces and making tackles. Not a plug and play position and even if someone does take the defensive HFF role whether it be Spargo, Chandler, Woewodin, whoever. The role, and what will be asked of them, will likely be quite different. In short, do we need someone to play the pressure HFF? Yes we do. But a different kind of pressure forward. The Nibbler role is probably a thing of the past now and the wrong thing to do would be to try and find the next Nibbler.
  18. I hope he's a Barry Hall type
  19. Does anyone have a rationale for how they choose a number that would suit a new player? Is it based on their personality or something?
  20. He reminds me of that kid in junior footy who probably studied every single way that an oval shaped ball can bounce. Whether it comes to gathering it or kicking bouncers.
  21. No doubt the ceiling is high for Tauru. Impossible to predict how good he could be. I'm personally not fussed but I can see why others would be, we do need to think about the future.
  22. Well done to JT and the gang, I'm really happy with the result. Wasn't sure when it came to pick 11 but there was a gut feeling it could be XL once things played out that way. I'm not totally convinced that it would have been Tauru had he been available, it may have been, but I'm just really glad we went bold and addressed a need instead of going KPP in someone like Armstrong or Murphy Reid who I honestly wouldn't have minded but could have been another Bailey Laurie kind of pick. Bring on 2025, I think there's a bit there to work with.
  23. Celebration time Norm!
  24. Got some booming kicks in this midfield now.
  25. 190cm and can take a decent mark
