Is it just me or does anyone else hate tipping this year?

2023 Player Reviews: #22 Blake Howes
Like Turner it's another case of the unknown of what he may be able to offer us because of injury. Really hope he gets a clear run at it because I do think he has attributes that could make a difference.

2023 Player Reviews: #6 Brodie Grundy
Can't win if you don't try. The move did not gel with me at all initially but I was open to the FD taking calculated risks. High hopes early on and some good games while solo ruck, perhaps not enough of a data sample to see if it could have worked but I was never really convinced. The main undoing was that neither of them could give us enough up forward, it wasn't Simon Madden and Paul Salmon and it was never going to be. I don't regret the move because as mentioned I'm proud of our FD taking gambles that could potentially put us over the top and not being afraid to fail. For Brodie's sake I wish he'd got his move to Sydney after Collingwood, seems like he'll be a great fit. I do feel however that while he will offer value I think we've seen the best of him due to the injuries he's had.

2023 Player Reviews: #18 Jake Melksham
Is he the best example of the checkside kick in the league?

Current Television
I gotta say I was really into Succession and got up to the last season but never finished it. No real reason but I'm not much of a binge TV watcher and something else probably came up which made me forget. Worth finishing?

Farewell Deakyn Smith
Good on him, think he'll do very well there.

Training Ground?
A step in the right direction, as they all apparently have been over the journey but it's still better than nothing. I think thinks fits the bill. We can look at all the missed opportunities all we want and why we didn't invest in Apple blah blah but this is the moment and it's time to seize it. It's now or never.

Moves the Club Should Make in 2024
I think Verrall will be ready for a debut before Jefferson just quietly. MJ will take some time.

NFL
Before this game I'd have had Dak well and truly in the MVP race. Their line was completely overwhelmed making Ffloyd and Phillips look like Lawrence Taylor as they repeatedly got to Dak. I've still got the 'boys being a big challenger and it's better to get the smack in the mouth now but these are definitely the kinds of performances Dallas fans are tired of. On the other side I don't care who you are in the AFC, you do not want to be facing the Buffalo Bills if they sneak into a wildcard.

Kossie's having a baby
A good reminder that not everything about player lives is shared. Not long ago everyone kept saying we needed to get him a Melbourne based partner to keep him at the club.

Not so confident about that line with the Niners. Could have up to 7 starters out.

2024 Injury List
Encouraging. Only just started on the anti-gravity treadmill.

Maynard must get at least four weeks
I'm not thinking about it anymore, trying my best to move on. Let's just be glad that Gus is on the track.

Maynard must get at least four weeks
Biggest non-surprise of the year. Play the good Samaritan role and pander to the ‘footy purists’ by letting the good bloke play but then take proper action long after the fact so they can appease the anti-concussion brigade and show that they are (seemingly) doing something about it. Talk about bending it both ways to suit agendas..

He's a lucky man. Looked like textbook high ankle damage but sounds like it could just be a few weeks.
