Fascinating situation over there. The Club shut itself down over Covid. You could tell they had no interest at all. Since then Simpson has been unable to restart the engine, sporadically he got responses but it has been a complete clusterf$&@k I would love to know the real reason they have been dead for 5 years

If you can afford it, good luck to you. But it is actually “taking the game away from the people”. But when i look and listen to the new AFL CEO it makes sense in a way. They Have no feel for the game, you only have to go through the rule changes given to us, in the last 30 years, to realise that. And of course all the Media love it, 5 Star Rooms, so they can feel important

Seriously I am yet to see any Benefit for Gather Round. Everyone goes to Adelaide for a week, so what? Of Course the AFL Suits stay in 5 Star Rooms, and eat beautiful meals washed down with expensive bottles of anything they desire. But what is the benefit to the competition? It is just another AFL sanctioned disruption. I really wish the Clubs would just say “no” It doesn’t serve a purpose…. It is the ultimate Junket…

Thanks for this. Having worked with journalists for many years (80’s & 90’s) it was very insightful. McClure, Cleary and especially Tom Morris are absolute junk, who should be struck off and given the electric chair. Cleary is nowhere near as bad as the other two, but anyone employed by Craig Hutchison has to be under a cloud. Wilson is old school who does a lot more research, and I don’t think her opinions on Perth Lifestyle are to far off the mark, but it’s just my opinion AFL Media is Full Blast 365 days a year now, it’s all about volume, not content

No i disagree. His kicks were mostly hacks or straight up in the air against the Filth, he is still getting the ball, to a degree, but not using it well at all. He just needs a change of scenery to reset himself
