  1. He can kick goals, he would be an asset to our forward line, at the right price He may help the MFC to win a Flag. We should be heavily enquiring into this as a Business transaction.
  2. Yes there really are 2 Sides to Whateley. He is a brilliant Commentator on Radio, but his editorials every morning at 9am can be very divisive Although i do agree with him when he gets stuck into The ARC Score Review
  3. No. Good that heads begin to roll We are on the edge right now
  4. Correct. But they also run 24/7
  5. I don’t dispute anything you say. But as far as the Media are concerned, and that is where “Culture” is discussed mostly It’s all about Winning at the Pointy end of the Season. If Culture meant anything else then Meth Coke would have been dissolved in 2007
  6. No. That just means your standards and recruitment has a lot of improvement to go. It’s a Tough Industry To be successful you have to demand the best
  7. The Situation is getting worse. The AFL need to strip back a lot of grey rules. reduce the interchange rotation to 30-40 a game i cannot stand incorrect disposal being called play on These suits have bastardised the game while being paid $millions Enough…
  8. The Bird variety
  9. The Umpires are already scrutinised after every game by their own department, and we have the current mess. The amount of Cameras on the games will increase each year, the quality of those cameras will also improve. the only way to make umpiring better at the Top Level is to pay the Umpires a high wage and make them accountable to the public after each game, otherwise the current situation will just keep frustrating everybody. What happened to The Croms last Season should have been the line in the sand moment. They were denied a Finals Berth
  10. Sounds like a good lawyer could take this apart, line by line…
  11. If i was going to be under public scrutiny for the quality of my work. I would want Top Dollar. So i believe The AFL Umpires should be paid Top Dollar, and be accountable after the Game
  12. A Good Culture is sustained Success and high Standards over a period of time.
  13. This is not about my Job This is about holding Umpires accountable to do a better job
  14. You are just fishing now. My point has been made
  15. The Cameras…
  16. Pay me enough money and it wouldn’t bother me I would do my job as correctly as possible
  17. The Umpires won’t be attacked if they adjudicate the game correctly. That’s the whole point. Make them accountable
  18. My job wasn’t done in front of the Public. Pay the Umpires a serious wage with a weekly Media Conference. i guarantee the mistake count will drop dramatically
  19. No. The Umpire’s would not want to look bad under analysis. Not on a weekly basis in front of the Media Pack.
  20. That is the EXACT AFL attitude… Put the Unpires in a Media Conference scenario every weekend and they will sharpen up their eye sight immediately.
  21. Yep. Straight Sets exits from the Finals is not acceptable, regardless of circumstances, if we are to emerge as a “Successful and Stable” Club We have to ingrain that into the Club psyche. Hawthorn have done it from 1971 onwards. They are never down for long…
  22. Yes, i am not a Lawyer, but there would be many ways to instigate this, if the Club is inclined. Because as it stands I would only be giving out 3 year contracts from today onwards. It’s just too dangerous for the Club, because you cannot front end all player contracts
