Of course they do, but by knowing the enormity of what Norm and his players were able to achieve in the past, they have figures and standards to aspire to. 5 Flags in 7 years is serious history and any notes found and enacted upon from that period are gold. It has a lot to do with history. Norm is still a part of the club in the 21st Century as a guide and mentor for Goodwin and his coaches. Great

I am very happy that Simon has had a hunger to read up on our deep history. I knew he had to, to begin to understand this club. We are the longest running professional sporting club on the planet. That is something to be proud of. We also have 2 Threepeats. When i saw Bernie’s farewell speech and noticed the back wall “Espirit de Corps” and remembered the Red Fox. Many on here have dismissed the past, to try and forge a new one, bad move in my eyes. Simon is lucky to have Norm’s and Len’s shadow to learn from.
