Ok fair enough. But if i was in your position, I would care about what had gone on before and i would also enjoy the new history being created in front of me. Each to their own AoB We will all be celebrating the 13th if we are still here!!

You said you wish to ignore the past....

How do you know that? Each Player who puts on the Jumper and runs over the white line should feel proud to be part of 160 years of evolving history. I know thatβs how i felt when i walked into GTV 9 in 1986 on my first day, there was instantly History on every wall i passed. The same happened a year later when i jjoined ABC Melbourne in Ripponlea. History was proudly shown and i was now a part of it Put it this way, if Whorethorn win another flag this year (God help us) nobody will give a dam, infact many TVβs will be switched off before the end. If the MFC pull it off it will be F$&@ing huge, because of our last 54 years of heartbreak and at times desolation. I think the players are a tight unit, yes but i think they also know the history and how much it would mean to smash the chains that have held us back

Ok. You support the highlights package, thatβs your choice i support 160 years worth. If this crop of players goes all the way and brings home the Cup i am sure it will be proudly shown alongside our other 12, and not in isolation.

Get over what?? The Club is 160 years old. I support the whole lot. We are the longest Premiership drought in the comp, break it and the modern history can stand tall again YOU are being selective

Chris Judd thinks we celebrated too hard.
That may well be the case. I knew Andrew before Chris was born. I do know Chris was a Demon before Meth Coke drafted him

Sure. But it is a fact. We can go one further this year, we have given ourselves that chance. The real work starts this week, Finals pressure goes up at least 10% i am a very passionate supporter and Member, but i do not deny what has gone down before

The only way forward is to break the chains and do the hard work. This club hasnβt worked hard enough for success since 1964. It has hoped it would win. We have a chance this year to change that, but 7 other teams will be looking for our weak spot, hell we have shown it to them enough. You can deny psychology all you like, but it is an important factor. If Goodwin can break the Hoo Doo he will be a revered man, but a long way to go yet

I do support them. I sent the MCC & MFC $914 yesterday, so donβt lecture me. Deny history at your own peril (If i shut my eyes it is not happening). Everyone employed at our club should be embracing our history and be ready to create their own stamp. We have 12 Flags and then a big gap 13-15 would be nice

Jump off to me is when someone walks away and supports another Club 100% Goodwinβs defensive tactics and game still worry me, but September will teach him a lot. Pressure valve goes right up

Chris Judd thinks we celebrated too hard.
His Father (Andrew) was a one eyed South Melbourne man Also my Maths teacher from Year 7-9 and again in Year 11 Good Bloke Mr. Judd, but definately not a Demon

Lynden Dunn
His kids wear Filth Jumpers now.... Yes i feel a little sorry for him, i also remember MFC applauding him in last years QB Match More than once. His Round 23 celebrations donβt sit well, but that is his choice. We all saw it we are there....

None of us have jumped off. But history is what we are. Last Sunday is now history. Deny the past if you want, it still exists. Make new history of course, make great history full of new heroes but as it stands right now we are still without success in 54 years

Chris Judd thinks we celebrated too hard.
That was just letting off steam and breaking a chain The real Celebrations will begin in 6 weeks time. I can see what Judd is saying, but i donβt think the players celebrated too hard. They were just rapt. The real work began today.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB β JAKE MELKSHAM
He was always a good player. I was just concerned about his part in the Essendrug situation. I donβt like drug cheats. He may be fully remorseful, i have no idea. But he has certainly played brilliant footy for us and igive him serious credit for that. We may well have beaten the Swans if he wasnβt injured.

Special shout out to PJ
Thanks PJ. You took on a club 6 years ago that was almost dead. We are alot more healthy now, with still a long way to go and a lot more to prove. But that proving can only happen in September... thanks...
