Farewell Jesse Hogan
I would be playing Hogan off Half Back in 2019. I don’t think we have seen the best of Jesse yet. Not by a long shot. Personally i don’t think his kicking is good enough to be a key forward. But i certainly wouldn’t be trading him for pick 6

Who cares what Richmond are doing, you are trying to dilute a situation we created. To often we soften a problem by saying someone else was almost as bad. I want the MFC to be the best, i don’t care about other sides. We didn’t score a goal in the First Half last Saturday. Why did that happen and where did it start??

The analogy i make is there is very little room for mistakes in live TV. So preparation is paramount. I have seen people dismissed mid show for bad mistakes now i am not saying we sack players mid game, but i have never seen a whole team completely capitulate from the opening bounce to halftime in a Prelim Final like that before, both old and young completely shot it is a worry going into next year, every club will watch that game closely to study what we did and didn’t do to look for any edge Last Saturday the MFC was not prepared at all for what took place, and that lasted for 60 minutes including a break where things were discussed by the coaches. It made no difference. Just extraordinary... I doubt Goodwin will get much of a holiday as Senior Coach, he had a solid year all up, but the last act was a train wreck

I disagree. Certain sides in the AFL expect to make top 4. They train and plan for that goal. If they don’t get there one year they usually do the next. We the MFC haven’t had that mindset for a long time. It’s time we did. I enjoyed seeing 90,000 watching the Red and Blue at the ‘G. We must aim for those moments. Preparation is very important. I worked for years in “Live” TV. There was no room for mistakes. I just had to get it right. Maybe that’s why i think the way i do..

I want to know how 18 (22) players can all play so badly at the one time for a sustained period of time. Big Max said in his article on sunday that the team was not ready for such intense pressure. Why weren’t they? It was going to be there where was the preparation at? What did the Coaches do? the 2nd half is irrelevant. Meth Coke had achieved their goal
