  1. I would have him, IF he cost nothing and is not clogging the list.
  2. It is this year's "I would love to be a one-club player."
  3. And there was the match against Carlton in 2014 when we were about to win and the commentator said "Pedersen to ice the game."
  4. Dont you love the media? In the article it says "The Australian’s Greg Denham reported on Tuesday that Hogan has agreed to a blockbuster deal with the Dockers and will force the Demons into a trade this trade period." In Denham's article the closest he comes to saying that is "Should Hogan agree to return home, the Dockers will have to give up a first-round selection to Melbourne in return, which the Demons would have to on-trade to Gold Coast to secure May." Nothing about agreeing to a blockbuster deal. If Hogan had agreed Denham would most certainly have said so.
  5. Hats off. Not Demon royalty, but certainly a reliable courtier. And we'll always have his big pack mark and his beautifully weighted pass to T-Mac in the last quarter in Perth in 2017.
  6. Denham's article in the Oz is a paragon of opinion dressed up as fact. The only part that veers close to a a statement is prefaced with "it is understood" which is an old journalistic trick. Easy to deny - easy to say "told ya so". Appropriately Supernaut's "I Like it Both Ways" is a West Australian song. "It is understood Melbourne are prepared to consider sacrificing Hogan for May after their glaring deficiency in defence against West Coast in last Saturday’s 11-goal preliminary final defeat, even with top backman Jake Lever expected back early next season from a knee reconstruction." No way am I giving Hogan for ONLY Freo's pick 6 from Freo to ontrade for May.
  7. The Australian. "A bombshell is about to hit the lead-up to the AFL trade period with star Melbourne forward Jesse Hogan set to play with Fremantle next year if the Dockers are successful in their multimillion-dollar bid to lure the West Australian home."
  8. The strong clubs have built their lists first from the draft, then after a period of development, traded in players to fill specific roles (unless an absolute gun wants in). What are our specific needs? Obviously outside speed is one, so Gaff would fill that bill, but if Gaff and Norf have paid massive overs we would be silly to also pay massive overs. We need to look elsewhere. Fingers crossed we have other irons in the fire, and fingers, toes and eyes crossed if one of those irons is Josh Kelly.
  9. Robbo thinks it is WC or North. (I have heard it is WC or Melbourne.) "All-Australian Gaff clearly is in demand. The Kangaroos believe it’s between them and West Coast and while St Kilda is making noises about wanting to talk to Gaff — and any player who has a pulse, for that matter — they accept he isn’t going to call Moorabbin home."

Caro was back on Classified, Caro talks to Hutchy, Hutchy has history with Pert, Caro writes article. (I've only heard one vocal member of the underwhelming group past its time, and that is Dr Turf, who went to Scotch.)

On face value it appears a solid appointment, but I seem to recall Pie mutterings in Pert's last period as CEO.
  12. Jake Niall writing that the Dees have space for Gaff is code for the Dees being right into Gaff and well in the race to sign him.
  13. One of those footballers who is not just a skilled player (although ungainly), but just as importantly, possibly more importantly, instinctively knows how to use his body.
  14. Angus played well tonight.
  15. Not a password issue. It was a connected apps prob.
  16. Collingwood has had to give Moore a charity position (sweeping defender) to get him a touch.
  17. Cycling. One day, in the very distant future, I may almost consider cycling legit.
  18. Say the first thing that comes into your mind. Wines. Toumpas.
  19. Let's hold our fire until Josh Kelly is ready to come home in 2 years.
  20. Reminds me of a souped up Shane Valenti.
  21. Looks a pretty good prospect. Gutsy, competitive, good kick, he even hit a couple of teammates on the chest, which is very unDemonesque. But to make sure he fits in at Melbourne he handballed straight to a teammate's feet. Mons.
  22. Petrocelli?!? Sign him now. "I will now create the night of the crime." *fade to blue*
  23. People think “first round pick” means “top ten pick”. Pick 10 and Pick Teen is what Melbourne gave up if the Dees improve in 2018. Bottom half of 1st round is not much better than the top half of 2nd round. Even if 2018 is a superdraft. ("Next year's draft" is always a superdraft.) Chuck in the pick flips and we have done well picking up a highly rated 21 year old with exposed form.
  24. And in the same season Scotty Thompson retired.
