  1. Looks pretty relaxing...first day back..NOW GET TO WORK!!!!
  2. yeah. But the Cats can't entice him down to Geelong to play, so how would he have been in the Big Smoke like Melbourne?! No chance. Actually he might enjoy it down at Casey....maybe not.. I wonder how Geelong would of gone with Nathan in the Grand Final?
  3. Typical Connolly banter.
  4. Incorrect. 2nd in Best & Fairest. Rated highly by opposition clubs. Disposal better than every mfc player at present. Please, learn the game first before you comment.
  5. Nick Jewell 164. Not a bad start to the season indeed, by the Vics.
  6. It's not dwelling on the past as I see it, it's just bringing a few facts to light of what has happened at Carlton. Yes, well make the most of it while you can, because we won't be as far behind Carltank as what you might think,......
  7. Agree. Taggers can be just as effective or influential on the outcome of a game just as any other player on the ground. Your example is a good one. For those who doubt so or think that "taggers are overrated", just ask Bomber Thompson what he thinks of Cameron Ling.
  8. What can Dunn offer as a forward? Contested marks, goals? If he can offer that then so be it - all well and good, but I haven't seen enough to suggest he will offer that. If you are suggesting Dunn will present as a lead -up forward, it will be along the same lines as Miller. I think Miller is more effective in this area and has the option of dropping deep into forward line to take a contested mark, or at least get it to the ground for a contested ball for our small forwards, IMO Dunn wouldn't be as effective in this area of his game. I agree with you and Rogue, if he can hone his skills towards this he will be very effective for the team.
  9. More often than not.
  10. Indeed. Nathan Ablett also delisted. He rates even higher, but has lost his passion for footy. Davenport definitely a chance of being picked though. He did win the VFL Best & Fairest for Geelong. I'd say Hislop and him would be right up there.
  11. Nothing in concrete yet as the "meaningful proposals" are out there to a good level. I hope its at levels such as the ING's of this world. What a time to be looking at a new sponsor in the current economic times. Hopefully Schwabby can weave some financial magic. The Casey Fields initiative would be an attractive proposition for a seeking sponsor wishing to push their brand into the market IMO.
  12. Interesting re: Kumble. He bowled terrible in the test. VICS off to a flyer and in form, 0/88 in their opening dig.
  13. 1998,2000,2002,2004,.....its possible......unlikely I know.....but anything's possible.
  14. Exactly mo64......I'm sure the Tigers travel time would be just as long as the Dees too.
  15. 29? Geez he looks 40! Incidentally the Vics are 0/29 in their Sheffield Shield campaign in the game against Sth Aust in Adelaide.
  16. You just did. As Belzebub stated, for these men/boys/recruits/draftees, AFL is a job. Jobs have premises and locations. Clubs travel. It's that simple.
  17. O'Keefe??
  18. In the words of Nathan Buckley, "Adelaide demand alot of their players."
  19. Fair enough...for the record, that was the mail he said he received from "around the traps". He believes Melbourne are seriously contemplating O'Keefe. -edit: O'Keefe is allegedly believed to want to go to a club in contention for a Premiership. Hawthorn was that club, but they may have severed ties during trade week. Carlton and Essendon are considered the possibilities, but are they in contention for a Premiership? Well, Carlton is considered closer than Essendon is.....? But with Hawthorn & Geelong in such a position, these two teams (Carl & Ess) are "at least" a year or two away from playing in a Grand Final for a Premiership.
  20. Yeah, Junior would be on the Veterans List. Is, or should O'Keefe's age be a concern for Melbourne's blueprint? If there is a youth blueprint (ie 23 or under)........
  21. SEN - reports on KB's show (via Greg Denham) that the Demons may be making a play for (or are looking at) O'Keefe in the PSD....... Comments...... Will we have the $$$$$?

    PSD

    Oh dear...
  23. I have heard from disgruntled Carlton supporters, they were delighted to hear Cain Ackland was delisted. Apparently was on a good wicket. (Pay packet) edit: I agree with Do it for Robbie, Judd is not on a million per year. PS. Ackland was on more than $150K Redleg.
