  1. How big?
  2. Correct. I have a mate who plays hockey - the MCC team in State League 1. As a sporting section of the MCC, they're entitled to or offered an MCC membership once they meet the criteria set as per guidelines.
  3. Perhaps in it's MFC sporting section there might have to be some reference to the MCC and MCC logo? and Perhaps those who achieve a certain number of games and/or years with the club (ie MFC or MCC Club guidelines) can qualify for MCC membership. Which probably means that those on the MCC waiting list may have to wait a little longer...I could be wrong though. Sponsorship opportunities??
  4. From the MCC site: - MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB AND MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB TOGETHER ONCE MORE edit: It's now on MCC, MFC and AFL & associated news sites..
  5. Melbourne seems to be one of the better ones now. Certainly better than two decades ago, even prior to the drop-ins.
  6. Here is a clue: ......"said April Fulton of the company’s Melbourne office."
  7. I'd be hoping for a further advantage over other tenants of our ground.
  8. But we can still call it the "MCG" The MCG could soon be called......
  9. FFS they only just finalised the sponsorship deals....wait a few weeks
  10. Feel better now..
  11. I think Presti will be named and will play depending upon if Melbourne make changes or not. If there is no change to Melbourne's line up, someone may come in for Presti from the emergencies.
  12. That was my first thought too.
  13. And remember Pia goes home to that every night......(Miller)...
  14. 27,388! Keeps rising...updates have been good, unlike last season.
  15. Pretty sure we played them twice last year as well. Is that right? edit: Just checked, only once in 2008.
  16. Don't take it so personal. A good journalist undertakes thorough research. It's well known Jace Bode is not on the Demons list.
  17. And it's no where near small enough....
  18. If Martin Flanagan is such a good journalist, he would have got this right. Probably had one of 'last seasons' records beside him for research.....
  19. Just read a thread with some posts referring to the Bulldogs forward line. Saw the game Sunday night against Fremantle. I must say prior to the season I thought they might plateau this season or at least lose some ground on Geelong and Hawthorn. But what I saw of them in the last quarter looks promising for them. Key ingredients in improved Josh Hill, Will Minson, Shaun Higgins and even a Jarrad Grant will add further dimensions and options to Eade's forward line which already consists of Hahn, Johnson, Akermanis, Giansiracusa. Goals will come from their midfield in Cooney, an ever determined Griffen (Brownlow material), Boyd (keeps taking steps), and rotations. The next step I believe will come from Josh Hill and Jarrad Grant who I saw a bit of in the NAB Cup. Josh Hill - I think the penny has dropped with him. Although he did shine in Round 1 last year and did stuff all after that. He should be, or he would want to be more consistent than last year. Whilst in the end the Bulldogs were beaten by Geelong in the Preliminary Final last season. It was clear then an improvement in the forward structure was required. I think they have taken some steps over summer in this department, Wayne Campbell included. His name is being spruiked about a little down at Tigerland, which Caroline Wilson also mentioned on Footy Classified last night. With respect to our Demons forward line, we could do no worse than look at how the Bulldogs are going about adding so many strings to their bow in their development of their forward structure.
  20. I prefer to sit along side and be greeted by people in red & blue against collingwood. At least I can understand their vocabulary by them speaking with a clean set of teeth. edit: other pluses include no sweat or body odour...
  21. That's for sure, I hope players who miss the game can continue to be present at these marquees before the game, great to see that on Sunday. Some extra colour in balloons at these sites wouldn't hurt.....anything extra to show how 'fairdinkum' the club is on getting back on it's own feet and let's stick it up eddie on field.
  22. yes, at least you can be guaranteed to be greeted by people with a full set of teeth this end.
