Just read a thread with some posts referring to the Bulldogs forward line.
Saw the game Sunday night against Fremantle. I must say prior to the season I thought they might plateau this season or at least lose some ground on Geelong and Hawthorn.
But what I saw of them in the last quarter looks promising for them. Key ingredients in improved Josh Hill, Will Minson, Shaun Higgins and even a Jarrad Grant will add further dimensions and options to Eade's forward line which already consists of Hahn, Johnson, Akermanis, Giansiracusa.
Goals will come from their midfield in Cooney, an ever determined Griffen (Brownlow material), Boyd (keeps taking steps), and rotations.
The next step I believe will come from Josh Hill and Jarrad Grant who I saw a bit of in the NAB Cup. Josh Hill - I think the penny has dropped with him. Although he did shine in Round 1 last year and did stuff all after that. He should be, or he would want to be more consistent than last year.
Whilst in the end the Bulldogs were beaten by Geelong in the Preliminary Final last season. It was clear then an improvement in the forward structure was required. I think they have taken some steps over summer in this department, Wayne Campbell included. His name is being spruiked about a little down at Tigerland, which Caroline Wilson also mentioned on Footy Classified last night.
With respect to our Demons forward line, we could do no worse than look at how the Bulldogs are going about adding so many strings to their bow in their development of their forward structure.
