  1. It was two. Jones had plenty of time and space to nail that kick, so much so the Oliver rightly had forward momentum expecting a kick to his advantage. The horrible kick way over his head and to the side wrong footed him leading to the desperate one handed reach to try and get to it.
  2. While thats true, this year Trac was averaging 0.75 goals per game before the match. It was a masive step up and his highest goals return of his career.
  3. Saw that at the time and had a chuckle but I don't think it was Goodwin, I think he handed that off to Richo in the box and was listening in.
  4. Best strategic use of the shoulder spoil I've seen all year.
  5. Better than the one gate they had open last year. Better than the one ticket booth gate they had last year.
  6. It is precisely when your coach can see that the work rate is down that he needs to step forward and, just perhaps, put a stopper on the opposition player who even though he only played 80% match time kicked a goal, gained 742 metres, had 7 inside 50s and 2 goal assists.
  7. Bont was the second highest rated player on the ground, had 742 metres gained (highest on the ground by 150 metres) and 2 direct goal assists (also highest on the ground). Edit: Oh, and 7 inside 50's (highest on the ground)
  8. There was another camera angle. They only showed it once, iirc a least a quarter later. Shows Long lining Simmonds up from 20-30 metres away charging full tilt for the hip to the top of the head. An absolute disgrace. Never cared what anyone said since - despise Long.
  9. https://aflua.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020-Laws-of-Australian-Football.pdf Unless otherwise stated in these Laws, a Free Kick can be awarded at any location on the Arena and shall be taken where it is awarded or where the football is at the time, whichever is the greater penalty against the offending Team. For the avoidance of doubt, Free Kicks awarded outside the Playing Surface will be taken at the nearest location on the Boundary Line or where the football is at the time, whichever is the greater penalty against the offending Team.
  10. AFL Rules state that if the ball is kicked OOB and a free kick is awarded before that happened, the Free kick is to be taken from where the infringement happened (where Docherty was hit), OR where the ball crossed the line, whichever is the greater penalty.
  11. Leave the ground and take responsibility. Front on contact, late, I thought high but perhaps not.
  12. Both decision correct imo. Taberner just tapped it straight out of bounds and Brayshaw smashed into Docherty well after disposal.
  13. Blues down field after the siren for the win.
  14. It was quite similar to the below video. A stoppage with more congestion, less opposition involvement, but the same result.
  15. My basketball team won a tournament final against the host team many years ago with a clutch set play that our coach has us start practicing 3 months before the tournament. I remember thinking 'this is a good play but when are we ever going to use it' . 2.4 seconds was all we needed. Even the (local) time keeper trying to put us off by pretending not to know the rules around when to start the clock couldn't stop the inevitable.
  16. You're just jealous you weren't there to ruffle his luxurious locks Bin.
  17. Loved seeing May at the end with the massage / back slap combo.
  18. Enter a wild TMac. At least Gawn wont need to cop such a battering.
  19. As an aside, seeing as this is an active problem solving thread, get errors on the last pages of a few threads (on PC, chrome): https://demonland.com/forums/topic/48421-any-correlation-between-form-and-having-a-new-baby/page/2/#comments Sorry, there is a problem There are no posts to show Error code: 2F173/L https://demonland.com/forums/topic/48407-on-the-couch-the-red-zone/page/6/#comments Sorry, there is a problem There are no posts to show Error code: 2F173/L
  20. Had to post this one. Highly recommend watching the whole thing but if you're in a hurry make sure to at least watch the four minutes from 5:00 onwards. Mind boggling.
  21. Flew to Adelaide last year for $56 and met up with a Darwin based mate where we hired a car for ~$26 per day. Leg 1 drove to Port Augusta and stayed in a decent motel over the bridge. Leg 2 6am-5.30pm Port Augusta to Alice Springs. I flew back direct to Melbourne with the team. Mate drove back to Adelaide then flew back to Darwin. Between the two of us flights, fuel, car hire, accommodation, entryx2 was cheaper than a return trip plus it's not a journey you're going to take/see too often in a lifetime. Pity the team came back only to fade away.
  22. Add a third team in WA as well and it could work out.
  23. "But in a leaked email to players, he accused some players of using "the media and an external legal organisation to conduct an aggressive and damaging PR campaign" against the association." I believe he's saying that some players, and some clubs specifically, who are attempting to use the CBA as a bludgeon will suddenly find themselves with a signed and sealed CBA if their delays further hinder the rollout of season 2020. The draft is in two weeks. Pre-season can't be scheduled until a CBA is in place. They are demanding a CBA that almost doubles the number of home and away games from 7 in 2019 to 13 in 2020. Are venues even available for that? Not to mention support staff (both club and ground), catering, television, radio, sponsors.. A pure power play that deservedly got hit with a reminder that not only are the vast majority of players happy with the proposed CBA but that such willful and damaging obstruction can and will be rendered void if necessary.
