  1. there is more than one defendant, ldvc ? (but i know what you mean) and absence of dna evidence doesn't amount to 'clearing'
  2. i understand, but until there is more info, i will maintain a 'healthy' degree of suspicion ? without going overboard
  3. because 'contamination' of evidence is a police procedural problem and needs explanation of course in court, but not only in court no-one is saying dna (trace or otherwise) is a panacea, but it raises a red flag when the biggest amount of illicit drug is mysteriously 'contaminated' and cannot be tested for dna as all the other (smaller) samples were i am wary of 'coincidences' especially in controlled and carefully planned operations like this . anyway, enough said already, i will follow this aspect with interest
  4. well i could have guessed that much too, but then like you i would just be speculating or are you saying you have specific knowledge? nevertheless a public explanation is required from the police
  5. true, with respect to the football dept. However, our HQ and administrative centre plus shop are in East Melbourne 3002 so we are split between the melbourne and east melbourne post codes (both being in the City of Melbourne Council boundaries)
  6. docklands and east melbourne are both in the city of melbourne boundary. neither docklands or east melbourne are in the sub division of melbourne ("suburb") within the "city" of melbourne sorry to shoot the messenger
  7. i'm just suspicious in cases like this of "contamination" and asking for clarification police are highly trained in forensic sampling procedures, especially in pre-organised raids nothing personal re thompson re the mdma. just a desire for proper procedure. after that "let the chips fall where they may"
  8. I don't understand this dna contamination of the 839gm of mdma i always understood they could detect (differentiate) multiple dna profiles in a sample and could therefore at least determine if there was any dna from thompson even where there was police dna on it due to mishandling unless.... it was suspected that the handling of another item by the police could have transferred thompson's dna from that item to the mdma whatever, i think this 'contamination' needs to be further explained publicly to eliminate any accusations of 'tampering' with evidence especially as the mdma would appear to be the largest example of 'commercial' level trafficking
  9. I presume this is not a replacement game? there is no info on mfc site as to replacement games for 2018 (i know the dorks game was). Usually this is indicated on the fixture with an '*' and a comment. google comes up empty. if not this week when is the 2nd replacement game?
  10. ron barassi snr park would be the windiest area in the cbd not the best place for training when most afl grounds are enclosed computer says no
  11. so you will turn 'dark bluish grey in colour'. i'd like to see that. ?
  12. so why then did foxsport publish a whole article based on an anonymous lawyer is that how you prefer your news?
  13. if he's just talking precedent why the need for anonymity no doubt we will see more of this as we did with the essendon supplements support campaign
  14. spinning the positive side iv'a and probably invested in a good outcome for a bomber legend
  15. i can almost guess who the anonymous lawyer would be, bub would have had no connection to the essendon saga......not
  16. only if the coaches don't change their game plan. i.e. they get forced to tone down the press and some of the gut two-way running if they don't then they run the risk of big late-game blow-outs ***** assuming drastic reduction in interchange *****
  17. start at 10/qtr for a year. 15/qtr imho is not drastic enough maybe reduce bench to 3
  18. i'm sure that argument would sound reasonable to most efc supporters
  19. Tom Morris is not even on the list. won't happen ?
  20. Hawks midfielder floats interchange eradication Hawthorn midfielder Isaac Smith says the state of the game might benefit from 'nearly' putting a stop to rotations on the bench http://www.afl.com.au/video/2018-05-02/headlines-ross-speaks-bomber-bailed
  21. i've already heard one sports journalist blame his demise on the "unfair" accusations of the bummers supplements "persecution" (words to that effect) expect a lot of the "industry" to rally around and make sympathetic excuses for him gil will continue to flummox and make babbling sounds should be lots of opportunity for the sports journos to endlessly dissect it for months....without really saying anything more popcorn time
  22. of course, but i can only go on him quoted as saying he pulled up quite sore (no mention of injury)
  23. after being out for so long i'd be surprised if he wasn't feeling a bit sore tmac has great aerobic capacity and stamina. a week of smart training will do him wonders
  24. and chalk is notoriously brittle, bub. take your pick eh?
