  1. temp 27c dew point 20c equates to rel humidity of 65.6% whatever that means i don't really know, but suspect it means it will be hot and humid
  2. he was not a specialist small forward. he was a midfielder
  3. players will be wearing 3d virtual reality goggles which will "add in" things like boundary fences, goal posts, crowds and crowd noises whilst simultaneously providing a plethora of real time statistics on the goggle screen. tis the way of the future
  4. i know od, but essenscum are the exception. also i wouldn't say hawthorn are "well into" yet.....long way to go we also have casey, but i agree this is not really much help by new tech i meant they could have hidden goal/point posts and netting underground and could pop them up at the flick of a switch. an extension of what they already do at the mcg for netting. instead of a fence the could have popup led lighting to simulate a fence when they need one. not saying they are planning these things but just give them as illustrations of how technology could be used to overcome perceived deficiencies thing is we know so little of what they are planning, and i'd like to think they aren't totally stupid
  5. unless they have some other (new technology?) ideas we don't know about?
  6. so..............almost identical to his whole career.....1.95 vs 1.94 could have sworn he dropped off noticeably after mfc at freo
  7. thanks, that's interesting and not what i thought/remembered.....
  8. i only suggested you compare 189 games vs 189 games given the difference in retirement ages i'm not knocking cyril, he was a star, but i reckon the wiz was too and would like to compare them as i suggested
  9. hope not. don't want another petty type debut. backline is fragile enough at the moment it's got to be frost (despite his tendencies)
  10. you also need to factor in if rioli played another 60 games. his figures would drop off some (as they have in his last 30 games) wiz's figures post mfc certainly dropped off and his last couple of years weren't much chop rerun stats for just the wiz's first 189 games
  11. i saw that and thought it strange. doesn't have to be a closed in fence....but....no fence at all? now they have that silly notion locked in walked up to that area on sat at half time. there is a slope but it is not that much. is plenty of room for oval with minimal trees to cut down depending how you site it. would still be a fair distance to jolimont housing. also the east/west path and avenue of elms and northern verge would separate the oval from the over rail-line building by a fair bit
  12. milne now i'll go and wash my mouth out
  13. if the club wants another look at jeffy then darwin would be the most obvious game to do it not only do we have problems in fwd conversion but jeffy generally puts on a good performance in the warmer NT we need to find out if he's a keeper and this is a good opportunity
  14. when the 2nd and 3rd guy pile in on top of the pinned player it should definitely be in the back (or just a ball up) clubs know they can milk a free and just pile in. it's not a good look for the game and crowds hate the unfairness of it pulling the ball in when you are already on the ground is a totally different matter on this question of scrimmages the umpires just let it go too far and it gets pretty physical and dangerous. They should intervene much more quickly as they used to and just ball it up before it gets too heated and congested. common sense really and how the game used to be umpired
  15. no, not surprised, but i still get pi55ed off
  16. exaggerated? he was caught totally unawares, didn't see it coming, check the video not even sure it was open handed either most annoying was not one maggot saw it and paid a free even though one would have to be blind
  17. possibly, but i wouldn't have paid it. we don't want these type of marginal, technical frees in the game there are much better examples of bad or non decisions in that game
  18. they have no feel for the game really ruining my appreciation of the game, regardless if demons playing differing interpretation, ump to ump, game to game, year to year add more umpires and the game will be just one long whistle blast 50m penalty needs to be looked at and some common sense applied
  19. surely the colonwood review was a confidential review and even if they talked the info would be heavily guarded additionally there is a very strong inference that the colonwood review was setup to protect eddie and his love child bucks. you (eddie that is) don't set up a review without knowing the likely outcome was probably a good idea to not involve colonwood personnel
  20. i was always taught to play the woman not the man, moonie
