Is Hibberd any good?
-
Both Dunn and Garland are finished. Dunn simply doesn't follow the plan. It's so obvious as he yet again bombs it long whilst ignoring team mates. Garland isn't best 25 anymore. Both solid servants of the club but average players at best

It's no disadvantage. the disadvantage is that this year we play the saints at their home ground for our home game. [censored] brilliant fixturing that is

Our poor form the week after these games has little to nothing to do with the travel. It's because we've been [censored] the last 10 years. If a group of 20 somethings can't back up after these games then they aren't fit enough.

Crazy, crazy, crazy it would be to trade Salem. A must keep.

I'm imagining the club is throwing everything it has at landing Hurley. If we want to compete in this competition beyond 5 or 6 then we need a Hurley type holding up our defence.

'Gone, gone, gone!!!'........ 'He'll go'........ followed up by 'It's just my instinct'
Why use that language unless you know something? It serves 3 lame purposes:
1. Makes you feel better
2. Contributes to others' panic
3. If he does go, you'll go around spruiking that you were right all along when really you knew nothing and were only trying to make yourself feel better.Of course, if he stays, everyone is happy and no one remembers any of the negative Nancy's. A win-win for you and others alike.
Sorry i upset you by stating what I think will happen. I'll go to the forum instead..........oh wait, I'm here

He's far more likely to stay with us than go. So no, you're a pessimist.
It's just my instinct, I'm investing nothing in him until he puts pen to paper. As each day goes by that gets less likely in my opinion

He's not going to Richmond. Who would, seriously? He wants success. Melbourne can match anything Richmond can offer in terms of money

I'm pretty sure he'd one a Premiership or 2

I don't know if Prestia is coming or not but if you barracked for Melbourne as a kid and had the choice between Richmond and Melbourne currently. Even if he barracked for Richmond he wouldn't go there. They're decades away. Our biggest problem is GWS and Gold Coast when they get their act together.

It has a strong stench of 2010, doesn't it? We have a stronger young brigade imo but it's almost like we've made the same mistakes. Most of our "depth" players have less than 30 games experience, so if we get injuries suddenly we're bringing kids in with zero experience.
It's nothing like 2010. We have a stable club, excellent coaches and a list chock full of forward and mid talent who have all shown more than any of the 2010 brigade

Unchanged except maybe Kennedy in.
I felt we had a good side in against the Hawks and the result proved that.

Its the best we've played all year

Clearly Dunn is out of favour for reasons I can only guess. There's no other explanation as to why our most senior and experienced defender is playing at Casey. Which means another KPD, (Oscar in this case) has been given the nod of approval. We have no other KPD which points to a lack of depth in this area.
Out of all areas on the ground, our back six is and has been the most unsettled unit of all. Why is this?
It is thanks to Garland and Dunn's inability to play defensive roles consistently and to a satisfactory standard which has seen them in and and out of the side. Dunn was again overlooked on the weekend and the coaches favoured O-Mac to take the other key defensive post alongside his brother and Garland. The fact that the coaches chose to bring Oscar in (who was hardly banging the door down at Casey) over Dunn says much more about what is going on with Dunn and also highlights our lack of key position depth.
Due to Dunn and Garland's fall from grace coupled with an obvious lack of key position defensive depth playing at Casey, we've seen that this is the only area of the ground whereby players have been promoted from Casey to our senior side without necessarily having to 'play out of their skin'. Wagner and O-Mac are both examples. Compare this to our midfield and forward-line where we clearly have some great depth building and you'll find that players like Petracca and ANB have had to play to an extremely high standard for a number of weeks to get a look in. In seasons past, they would have both been playing well before their form at Casey warranted a senior call up.
I can understand why O-Mac was given a game in this case based on what I've just said, just as I understood why Wagner was promoted earlier in the season.
However, it's clear as day that last weekend he was out of his depth. He wasn't ready. He was overawed. You cannot argue that. I don't care that he still managed 18 disposals and three rebound 50's. We won by 63 points. We were in control, and Brisbane's ball movement was awful. Do you watch the game man? Or do you just consistently defend players time after [censored] time like Saty?
I will be absolutely gobsmacked if Oscar keeps his spot this week.
Dunn doesn't follow team rules. He tends to blaze away or try and do too much. Garland is a dud, something I know you agree with. I'd be playing Frost and not OMac. We should be offering Hurley the [censored] world. He would make us a 3 win better side overnight.

FFS we're the youngest side in the league and you expect us to win every week!!!!
We are 6 -7 seasons till we are a realistic chance to win a flag.
We'll play finals in the next few seasons and if everything goes well and GWS don't dominate we may win one.
Chances are we'll get close for a few years then drop back of the pace.
Just enjoy the ride

He knows about all the speculation. He hasn't signed. I'm 98% sure he's gone and as such have invested no emotional attachment to him.
