  1. Compare us to no one as everyone's journey is different. The Dogs list runs pretty deep, The Saints have high class and pace and GWS and The Giants are well placed. We need to keep bringing in talent. That can never stop. Your mid tier must keep improving or you fall behind. I can see Stretch, Hunt, Weideman, Hogan, Petracca, Brayshaw, Salem, Tyson, Omac, and Gawn all improving again next year. That' makes us look very strong. Our best is probably still 3  years away though. It's then that we'll need everything to fall our way

Vickery is a Restricted Free Agent.  ie no trade required - he comes free!

Richmond know he has a good deal on the table so they have put him on ice to protect their FA compensation pick from the AFL.

I wouldn't be surprised if they got an early 2nd rnd pick from the AFL.  Given they don't have a 2nd rnd pick it will come in very handy.

Even for free, I wouldn't take him.  He might be handy right now but don't see a permanent role in our team.

Then maybe we are looking at him. He's by no means the complete hack many on here believe he is

And with Vickery, we'll still have no back up for Gawn if he goes down.

    I agree.

Brandon Ellis is very outside and doesn't win enough contested footy, but I reckon in the right side he could be very handy in a good team.

Their list drops away so quickly. I can't see how Hardwick believes he has the cattle to do any damage. If Martin gets injured it's all over

The last two are now B-graders.  Cothin doesn't hurt with his ball use and Deledio has an old man's calf.

    Their midfield is pox.

You're probably right but they have to trade something and they can't lose any of Rance, Riewoldt or Martin.

Cotchin is so overrated it isn't funny. He could scratch his ass and commentators would fawn over it.

    He'd still get a top 10 pick

It's actually possible that Richmond could remain in the 7th-12th bracket for another ten years purely off topping up alone. They will most certainly never get close to a Grand Final, let alone a premiership, with the current core they have.

And they clearly have no intention of bottoming out and rebuilding from the ground up, despite how obvious their garbage list is for every non-Richmond supporter.

It's going to be a glorious period of Anzac Eve matches in years to come; one that could rival Colonwood's QB record over us.

Actually the Richmond core of Rance, Riewoldt, Martin, Deledio and Cotchin is as good as any teams. It's how bad they fall away that is their problem. This is Richmond's ball and chain. If they trade them out they'll have nothing and if they keep them they'll need to recruit very very well to go past 8th spot. If it was my list I'd trade out Deledio and Cotchin and get as many top 10 picks in as I could

On Footy Classifieds, Hutchy, Barrett and Lloyd were all pumping up Melbourne, and Roos in particular. They asked Judd for his opinion, fully expecting him to agree. Judd basically said that the season should be seen as a failure because we didn't make the finals. And if we were content with our incremental improvement, we're destined for failure.

Well then im glad you have absolutely nothing to do with our list management.

    Cannot believe your actually serious..

You're attached to our players, that's understandable. However I don't care who plays in our next Premiership for us as long as we win one. O'Meara is a cut above all those players and I would readily trade one of them for him

Just post in the other existing threads about him.

I don't want Prestia. I've just been watching O'Meara playing. He's sublime, once in a generation talent. The club should go hard and land this guy. He would make us a Premiership chance.

O My, he;s seriously good. He's every bit as talented as dangerfield
