  1. Yes the French breed a particular type of horse for this item, same with their snails and frogs.
  2. I think the description is delusional egomaniac....Surprise he and turd are still not best of friends since they seem to have similar personality traits. .
  3. Interesting article on Lovett-murray. While he's getting his own lawyer, the in itself it no the interesting bit: its one piece of information I find interesting. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/essendon-drug-ban-banned-bomber-nathan-lovettmurray-enlists-own-counsel-20160116-gm77zj.html "One agent has suggested the overall compensation bid may be for more than $30 million. Bombers' chairman Lindsay Tanner has said the club has insurance to help guard against any hefty pay out, should that eventuate." The insurance company, a few questions. What was the premium and excess and would it now turn around and say that the actions of the club were illegal and therefore we won't cover you? As insurance companies love their clauses and guilty verdict points to activities by the club that could be found in breach of a policy.
  4. Made the news on CNN http://edition.cnn.com/2016/01/12/sport/afl-essendon-doping-scandal/index.html
  5. Looks like they'l have to get real jobs for awhile. I would expect a few to retire as well. I don't think any club should get top up players as it reduces the penalty for EFC, I know it affects us but he hasn't played for us so we won't miss him. The interesting thing will be the number of civi law suits, how strong is that EFC loyalty now?
  6. Its seems we aways have an oppo that we cannot match, i.e. kingsley or when Brownie was out Bradshaw would destroy us. Often not the best's forward either which makes it worse.
  7. Nice puff piece but some important information on the transition of the club this year. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/paul-roos-looks-outside-box-as-transition-takes-place-20151229-glwize.html Good article to end 2015.
  8. If you think go Kraker it can be done. But only time will tell.
  9. The money we get from the AFL is not charity. Like others have said its to balance out a lopsided draw that designed to maximise profit. I don't care about the years profit, as thats a paper figure. What I would like to know is: - is our turnover increasing? - Revenue increasing compared to costs (Outside AFL funding) If we are turnover over more cash, increasing investment in football department etc, we are progressing off the field. The profit is essential what they have decided not to spend this year, next year can we put another $500k into the footy department and still are another profit? Whats type of improvement is what I want to see.
  10. With the automatic debiting and renewal it brings the numbers up and much better than trying to get people to sign up again each year.
  11. On 6PR this morning said he's looking to play on at another club. Thinks he has at least 2 years in him and maintained his fitness while refereshened up during his suspension. Good experience and a superb tagger if we want to free up Vince and Viney. Would be a very cheap pickup as a DFA.
  12. Though stats don't tell the whole story. In reality its not how many free's you get, it wheres on the field and when. The recent North prelim is a pure example, swung the momentum of the game completely in WC's favour. Free against play in front of goal. We tend to never get those, just useless one's around the square which is really neutral space on the ground.
  13. Nine Perth reported that he had no plans to return to WA for footy. typical WA question. The first commentary was WA player Hogan has won't he rising star. Only the last bit of the clip mentions he plays for Melbourne.
  14. Simple because they kept their veterans/experienced players who passed on their knowledge and set the standard required. They also have a great blend of experience and talented youth. The decision by the club in the bailey era to dump all the experienced players ASAP is still being borne out. In saying that the corner has turned. edit: P.S. i think the Dogs is who I'm going to follow in the finals. Love for them to upset those seasoned teams.
  15. Now if we need to back it up this quarter it will be game on.
  16. The AFL has given a green light to using future draft picks now. Future trading given go-ahead but with restrictions While restricted to 1 year in advance now, I can see this going pear shaped and higher draft pick demands for valuable players especially for clubs like us.
  17. Vale Walsh, thoughts to his family and the club.
  18. There have been many great wins, but one of the best as Subi, rd 22 greatest winning margin against the weagles, only because I was in the crowd. But all the finals that we win are good
  19. Still can be done, just need to work out a trade deal we both like if he does want to return to vic. Though very unlikely.
  20. Basically the whole eagles side turned up at his place to convince him to stay. Interestedly he had a really crap season with the eagles that year. I think mentally he wanted to be elsewhere, hence the interest in doing to us. Another is: Kevin Bartlett - I remember reading somewhere he lived in the Melbourne zone. I'm a bit hazy but I think he met norm smith who wasn't impressed by him. Anyone sure on the details.
