    Starting to get the feeling that with Hibberd and Melksham to add, we might just try and upgrade our picks a bit, by trading a couple of players and then concentrate on developing the talent we have, as well as bringing in another few draftees, who have more potential than those being traded out or delisted. We also have Salem to add to the side, who hardly played this year as well.

    I think if a player retires as a result of an injury, sustained from footy,he can be paid out up to half of his salary and there are salary cap benefits to that payment, despite the obvious saving.

    Geelong unlike any other Victorian team, get a huge advantage already, 8 certain wins at their boutique stadium each year. Interstate Teams have to fly every second week. Also maximising crowds can't happen at Skilled stadium.

    Exactly the opposite. We finish on top and get to play a team off an 8 day break and then GF in 7 if we win. Pies who finished below us get an opponent off a 6 day break and have 8 to the GF if they win. Better both ways for the team that finished below us. I am sure Eddie is very happy.

    Why if Casey finished on top of the ladder, do they play on sunday next week, giving the team against them an extra day to recover, 8 days and one less day to recover themselves, if we make the GF? Collingwood get to play the Dogs, who have a 6 day break and then have an 8 day break to the GF if they win? How does that happen, when we finished on top?
