    As some of us on here felt he was with us. i still believe if he knew Gus would retire he would have stayed: He left for better opportunities and has got them with the current best team in the AFL. We have a hole after Clarry, Tracc, JV and Sparrow.

    Both fines. Newman incident an elbow to ANB’s jaw same as Kozzie on Soligo, also after leaving the ground, deemed low impact and not raised to medium, because of propensity to cause injury, like Kozzie. No explanation of why treatment different. Continues Carlton’s magical run at MRO and Tribunal.

    I agree with your general statement though.

    He left and was trying to go the year before as well. They tried to keep him.
  5. Just interested in the discussion of who was the better team. Here are a few points for analysis and discussion. Blues off to a flyer first 6 goals in first quarter. From that point, for last 3 quarters, we outscored them by 35 points. 61-41 inside F50 our way. More scoring shots our way. As you admit a bizarre decision takes a goal off us that would make us winners by 5 points. We had one less day to recover from previous game. On what basis do you say they were the better team. I am just interested in your reasoning, not arguing against it, just providing a few statistics for discussion.
  6. Agree with you, but I have absolutely no doubt that different players are umpired differently. Take Oliver and Cripps as examples. Clarry is pinged for holding the ball or throwing in an instant, while Cripps is given an eternity to dispose and throws the ball without penalty regularly. I say that from years of watching both play.

  8. That's true, but also if the umpire on just 2 occasions did the right thing, we would have one goal more from the rubbish dangerous tackle disallowed goal and they would have one goal less, from the incorrect ruck out on the full to Pittonet, who was the one who hit it out and giving them a goal. That gives us a 2 goal win. That is ignoring multiple other incorrect decisions, which of course can happen in a game. Here is the real question though, in each of the last 3 games against the Blues, all won by them by less than a goal, how many controversial decisions went our way instead of Carlton's. I have no doubt the crowd affects umpires and that is a fault with our game.

    Fine by me, I am a horse lover. Then again you might only have donkeys.
  11. Couldn’t it be by 45 points or even 78?
  12. You are a better man than me.

    Don't forget the Twilight Zone and the Outer Limits.
  14. Possibly the most unanimously approved post you have ever put up on Demonland. Can I say this though, I don't dilsike their players, it is the club and the supporters.

    Do you want me to pick you up on the way to Uncle Bitters' Manor, to enjoy his wine cask? We could have some fun feeding some of the Manor rats to the piranha in the moat. Then we can watch the Dees belt the Blues on the old black and white 26" tele in the lounge.

    To you and RaulRB, I am neither a Democrat nor Republican supporter and told friends many times, that I didn't know who was worse, Biden or Trump. Tbh I have learned over the years that political arguments rarely have winners. I made the mistake of posting on the matter and I will end my involvement here, as this thread is far better and hopefully more entertaining than the way it is starting to head. I am off to the Manor, to join Uncle Bitters in some of his delicious latest wine cask, "chateau moat circa 2024".

    I recall the Democrats, in response to the President having oral sex with a young intern, in the ante room to the Oval Office no less, saying nothing to see here, no problem at all. Yet when an adult Porn star has sex with a businessman, in a hotel room, 10 years before he becomes President, but of course is a Republican, wow the Democrats are horrified and blow a gasket. Yes USA politics are back to being juicy again. BTW does President Biden know what day it is today?

    Let’s move on everyone, we are all Dees fans wanting the same thing, another flag.
  20. New players in doesn’t mean underdone. You could say too many games played is overdone.
  21. = fresh legs too.

    At his current goal average he is a bit over half that. He also misses games so could be well less than that.

    I hear Uncle Bitters coached the ex Porn Star on the salacious details she presented in her evidence today.
