Thanks, I now finally understand the criteria for getting a PP. If you deserve one under the AFL stated criteria, you fail to get one, if in any way the AFL has assisted with you, in hiring a new CEO or Footy Manager. Simple really, how silly of me and so many other bewildered supporters. PS. Oh but hang on, Greg Swann was helped by the AFL to get to the Lions and also David Noble from the Crows. PPS. Don't forget the overriding rule, no rule applies to the new clubs into the AFL.

He will be a Hawk on monday.
-
Well done Jordie.
-
I would imagine Melksham and Hibberd would be chomping at the bit to play. Would expect they could have pretty fair seasons. Will certainly give some composure to the backline and better delivery to the forwards.
-
He can then be traded, though it would be less than their compo most likely.
-
We are keeping very quiet aside from Hibberd. Hope we have an iron in the fire.
-
Don't think he can fake x rays, ultra sounds and mri's.
-
I think I recall Dermie commenting on this bit of play and saying that he had never seen anything like it, from a young player.
-
Looks like we are not after Barlow and Witts can be crossed off as a possible ruck. FREMANTLE would be open to trading midfielder Michael Barlow to the Gold Coast Suns, according to The West Australian. Barlow fits the Suns' desire for experienced players. They are still in the hunt for Pearce Hanley and Jarrod Witts, but have missed out on Lin Jong and Hamish Hartlett. From the AFL site.
-
Can you move the stadium to Gosch's paddock and face it the right way?
-
Also the Gold Coast Suns have never won a GF, let alone played finals, in their long history in the VFL/AFL.
-
Great if we could do it. He would complete our inside mids. Hibberd and Melksham would help with adding Hunt and Stretch to the outside mids. Mitchell is proven and would be a great get. Surely our list and Goody would excite him, plus some more dollars. Weave your magic Mahoney. Next year's first pick would be the price.

That is one of best pieces of play I have ever seen a first year player perform. Just brilliant. I think it led to a goal from half back as well. Have I mentioned I love this kid, he is my favourite Demon and I look forward to seeing him play for us, for the next dozen or so years.
-
He is clearly bitter with the club, as he allowed the article about his kids switching to the Dogs, to go in the paper, with pictures of the family. It was unnecessary and tacky I thought.
-
Not disagreeing boys, I just recall that I often see him being the cause of a turnover. A couple of our worst will no longer be with us.

The flags are not the issue, the issue is that Clarkson did not recognize what a great player Josh could become and traded him. If he did, he wouldn't have. That is the issue. End of story. I know because I started the thread and my point was that even a genius like Clarkson can make mistakes on player's ability. Added to that he was the son and grandson of Hawks legends, so he clearly didn't realize how good he could become. Lastly he was very good the first year at the Swans, finishing 3rd in the B & F and 2nd the next year, so it was a mistake. Below is the Hawks list of 2010, look at the mids and then acknowledge that it was a mistake, at the time. UMBER PLAYER POSITION 1 Max Bailey Ruckman 2 Jarryd Roughead Half Forward, Half Back 3 Jordan Lewis Midfield 4 Rick Ladson Midfield, Backline 5 Sam Mitchell Midfield 6 Josh Gibson Defender 7 Michael Osborne Forward 8 Xavier Ellis Defender 9 Shaun Burgoyne Midfield 10 Chance Bateman Midfield 11 Clinton Young Midfield 13 Brad Sewell Midfield 14 Grant Birchall Defender 15 Luke Hodge Defender, Midfield 16 Beau Dowler Defender, Forward 17 Beau Muston Midfield 18 Brent Guerra Midfield, Forward 19 Jarryd Morton Midfield, Forward 20 Rhan Hooper Forward 21 Shane Savage Midfield 22 Travis Tuck Midfield 23 Lance Franklin Forward 25 Ryan Schoenmakers Defender 26 Liam Shiels Midfield 27 Stephen Gliham Defender 29 Thomas Murphy Defender 30 Campbell Brown Defender 31 Matthew Suckling Defender 33 Cyril Rioli Forward 34 Brent Renouf Ruckman 35 Sam Grimley Ruckman 36 Jordan Lisle Defender 37 Brendan Whitecross Defender 38 Luke Lowden Ruckman 39 Ben Stratton Defender 40 Jordan Williams Midfield 41 Tayor Duryea Midfield 28 Garry Moss* Midfield 32 Riley Milne* Defender 42 Wayde Skipper* Ruckman 43 Will Sierakowski* Defender 44 Cameron Stokes* Forward 45 Jarrod Kayler-Thomson* Midfield 46 Michael Johnston* Defender 47 Luke Breust* Forward 48 Carl Peterson* Forward 49 Trent Stubbs* Forward, Midfield 50 Raymond Shim* Midfield COACH: Alastair Clarkson They had about 4-5 good mids at the time, we all know you need many more.

Just happened to watch the GWS first game of year and in 2nd quarter or maybe 3rd, Don had about 5 possies and every one went to GWS. This is a weakness that he needs to improve, as it created scores for the opposition and we all know that turnovers are poison in AFL footy.
-
I think Vickery will succeed at Hawks, with their talent and good delivery, not to mention better coaching.
-
Clearly. It was about the trading of a boy from a club's most famous family, who is dumped and became a champion of the game at another club. The fact that his coach is regarded as the best in the league, showing that he didn't recognise the talent and ability of the player that he had for a few years.
-
And a constantly injured one at that. Mayne also 4 years at $500k per year. Bucks is only worried about 2017 to make finals or go. Stuffing their list management.
-
Saw that. Think they wanted to get to print early and punted with the leader. Note votes not listed. Good blunder though.
-
And. Everyone knew he was talented. Suppose also should have known he would get injured.
-
Which do you think came first, the drought or the negativity and whining? Obviously the longer you are crap, the more you are unhappy. Understand that principle?
-
Which end, the Lockett or Coventry?
-
Anyone else out there like the drink Malibu? I do and got 2 bottles for $52.00 at local Safeway. Good value me thinks. Will have a few shots during trade week, as will probably need them.
