Jack Trengove signed by Port Adelaide as a Delisted Free Agent
Redleg replied to dimmy's topic in Melbourne Demons
It is very risky, as it will kill their development for a few years, as less young talent is brought in and developed due to lack of list space . -

Wouldn't think that adding 6 players unwanted by their clubs would equate to a flag, but Ken would know better than me. Then again maybe he wouldn't. -

Thanks for your concern. I am probably not tuned in to humour as I am on a fitness kick and dieting. Will take a night off on our draft dinner though.

Obtuse. "Weekend at Bernies". Bernie Vince, 23 days to draft. Obtuse, I think not. Elementary cryptic clues a 5 year old could work out.

Pedo.

Getting a little excited about the draft this year, as it is not a life or death one for us, as we now have a reasonable list, but rather more of a cherry pick to hopefully find a gem after the first round and a half has gone. Usually I know very little about the available talent and this year I know even less. So for me it will be a bit of excitement finding out who we have chosen and then watching their development.

Gee it's the bloody countdown. Think Cryptic.

If that is true, then rather than the 6th easiest draw for 2018 for the 3rd placed side this year, it is closer to the easiest . Ordinary effort in fixing I mean fixturing.

Well let's get back on the right track. I haven't seen much in Dion yet but he has time to develop under our better run FD and stronger list.

That is why Hawks got rid of him.

And the whole course.

I was replying to a post that said we should be beholden to the AFL and effectively never complain about anything. This is a fan forum where fans express their opinions and challenge those of others.

Weekend at Bernie's.

VP you spoke of the victim mentality in your earlier post. To me your statement above is just that. Are you suggesting that because we have received help, or as I prefer to call it redress or equalisation for rigged income earning fixtures, we are not allowed to feel aggrieved or complain about blatant favouritism in the fixture? The Carlton prime time fixture or playing at Geelong being major examples. I don't accept that receiving some help dooms you to being a passive subservient member of the AFL.

I am not getting into the prime time debate but am annoyed at your statement that we wouldn't be here without the AFL. Well actually it's the other way round. WE started footy and the AFL exist s because of the clubs. A rigged fixture stops all clubs having the same chance to earn income. Therefore there has to be adjustments. Actually Carlton and StKilda get a bigger AFL grant each year than we do. I am sick to death of the ridiculous argument that when we are good enough we will get a better draw. It is just plainly wrong. The AFL do whatever they want whenever they want. Carlton have not played at Geelong in 10 years, we have 9 out of the last 10. I don't think Pies have either. Geelong at Geelong is basically an automatic loss of 4 points to the away team. No home game against Bombers in 12 years why? The prime time issue is just another inconsistenty issue created by the AFL. The AFL despite what some believe, is not being held accountable by the clubs. We are a game driven by money not fairness.

That is the idea.

Time to reveal to the footy world that he is a drug addict, serial killer, impossible to Coach, cries in interviews, hates training, is disobedient and forgets people's birthdays.

You believe Chris Scott, I don't.

Port picked up 3 talented players with known deficiencies and on big money. Yes that would go down well with the rest of their list. Some on here think that gives them the flag. I actually would not be surprised to see them go backwards next year.

We do need more speed, but don't need another ball butcher and turnover merchant.
