Nice to have a win for a change. Need to win the next 3 and go 6-3 to give hope for the season.
  2. Bruce is injured, out for several weeks. Not a heavy injury list for Saints. Josh Bruce Back 6-8 weeks Darren Minchington Knee 3-4 weeks Jack Newnes Concussion Test Dylan Roberton Heart Indefinite Koby Stevens Concussion Indefinite Jimmy Webster Hip Test
  3. Why are you concentrating on players who haven't made it, when we have several who have and still will? Do you seriously believe that every player drafted should be in the best 22 the next year? Surely not.
  4. Fritsch and Spargo another two last year. Baker and Petty already showing something as well. Doing ok I would suggest.

A very good low possession game. 3 brilliant passes which led to goals and also kicked a couple himself. Played really smart today and used his body well. Blocked and tackled perfectly.

    ANB a mid 4 touches.

    We were shameful that half.

If Joe is out they will probably play McKernan at CHF and Stringer at FF or the reverse positions or Hooker goes forward if a smaller player comes in..

    I could live with that.
  10. Saty as a friend, could I suggest you leave the last line out of your posts. It is the line that constantly riles so many on here and starts the petty arguments and the rest of your post is informative and sensible. I don't like seeing you attacked on here, as you are a nice bloke, a great Dees supporter and you attend training and pass on info which most of us love to read, just go easy on that last line it is irksome to many. PS. I see I got in one post too late as it has started again.
  11. Well lets examine your argument. In 2015 we took Oliver at 4, happy there. Weideman at 9, could be a good player in the next few years, we will see. King at 46 a developing ruckman and showing good signs. Hulett at 49 a bust. So in 4 picks we have a star, a possible key forward who is in our 22 atm,. a developing ruckman, who you surely accept at 20-21 wouldn't push the best ruckman in the the AFL out of the team and the type of player we need another ruckman/forward, remembering Spence is gone and Pedo is now 32 and one bust. That is actually good recruiting. 75% possible players including a star. If a club took 5 players in the draft every year for 4 years how many do you think would be regular 22? Most likely a club would think it brilliant if 8 players from the group were in the 22. That is highly unlikely though, but if it was, it is a 40% return. Now tell me how we stuffed up Clayton's year and don't use hindsight to pick the eyes out of the draft and remember our last 2 picks were 46 and 49.

    Just win- please.
  13. Every club does. You can’t pick 4-5 players a season who all make it every year, it’s impossible.
  14. Thurlow and Zac Guthrie played for Geelong this afternoon.
  15. Disagree. He is a better kick for goal than our ruckman for one. Has kicked 29.23 in 49 games and averages .6 goals per game even though often played away from goal. Clearly not a silky mid but a hard at it lead up small forward. No champ but we don’t have too many of them.
  16. He is a lead up small forward and not a mid/2nd ruck. Hasn’t played there all year and hasn’t the finesse or skills to play mid/ruck and it is showing.

I would hope that we are decent enough to let them add to their record.

Blues create history tonight, being the first time they have lost the opening 6 games. Congrats on the new record.

  20. Interesting that our two biggest goal kickers in a game this year have been dropped and both deserve it. Other than 1 good game each, they have been putrid.
  21. I think we will make another change to the side with at least 4 new faces from Tuesday. Bombers have 5 new players in and that will give them more fresh legs than us if we only bring in 3. I think we need at least another new player to even the difference somewhat.

A few months after the 2018 one ends.
  23. That's why I said "either with run, which he and Billy have, or good ball use, which Billy and Salem have". Hunt actually fumbled at least 4 handball receives on tuesday.
