I agree to the extent that its as if the players have hardly played the game before. What has stripped some pretty handy players of virtually all their skills and abilities?

Bollocks. At trade time last year, 2 clubs wanted Robbo and Miller (WBD & Sydney). Good enuf then. On current form, Mt Gambier 3rds wouldn't want them. I'd bet that Bruce, Green, Rivers, Davey, at least, of the experienced players would easily find a new club (though maybe not the $'s they are getting at MFC).

I agree with you. Nobody can start with a clean slate, a slate that does not take into account the current players, their skills, abilities etc. You must adapt, take a long view sure, but work with what you got. The players on our list are not THAT bad. Whatever is happening at the club has gutted them of confidence and skills.
