Given the pathetic delivery and decision making of our on-ballers and midfield, leave the backiine (Carroll and Rivers et al) alone. the wonder is we haven't been smashed by 100+ each week. listened to (some) of game on ABC as I was on the road this pm. One passage: Wheatly bounced out of defence; Miller provided a 'brilliant' lead - 8-10 meters in front of his man - Wheatly ignored him, waited, Miller doubled back,Wheatly then kicked to Miller in a contest!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is from commentary, then discussion after. LEAVE MILLER ALONE. This is all about [censored] coaching - call it non-coaching. I cannot believe the number of people on this list who say "Bails is waiting, watching', 'Bails will do this', Bails will blah blah blah'. For christ's sake, Bailey has only ever coached a Qld club side (how did it go?). Why the unquestioning faith?? And before someone says the list is not up to it, all the players on the MFC list can play; they would not be in ANY clubs list otherwise. THEY CAN ALL PLAY! Maybe not premiership standard, but not this pathetic dribble. the common factor? Bailey.

Caroline Wilson said that Harwick presented to the selection panel that he didn't rate many of the current list, and the club could expect a period on the bottom while rebuilding. Wonder if Bailey was as candid?

Don't hold your breath. Bailey is out of his depth, a loser. And he's gathered a bunch of loser/no coaches around him. Coaching is not about 'empowering' players, its about COACHING players.

The buck stops somewhere. I would at least like Bailey to stand up and say "the buck stops with me ... I am accountable, AS ARE THE PLAYERS". and don't forget the rest of the coaching staff - moloney, wellham & williams

Hmm. If Kerr wants Carltank, they will work something out - don't you worry. Re Judd, I disagree - Judd is the better. Judd is performing at C, Kerr is struggling under tagging at WC.

Just Matthews having a [censored], playing mind games. Johnston has ALWAYS been a very good outside player with good foot skills. That's what they bought, that's what they got. Though I think he is tackling more than he did at MFC.

I happen to think he has avoided making big decisions - eg leadership group voted by players, Bailey let it ride. Time he took some responsibility and accountability. He should appoint the captain.

yes, I see your point - plays finals but no real chance of the premiership. I think one only sees this after the event (or time frame). Nobody has built a team from ground zero in modern history like people are saying should be/is being done at Melbourne. Even Brisbane and Sydney in their worst times were not as bad as this lot.

Try last on the ladder for a few years. Bottom half of the eight will look real good. And early draft picks don't look so good (except for 1 or 2 years) either. I want a team I can barrack for week-in week-out that is (very) competitive. What we have here is a rabble that hasn't been seen for 40+ years, and is laughable. Give me a bottom-half top eight finish any time in preference to this (even if it kills me during finals time).
