The thing that strikes me about Newton is that he just doen't look right on an AFL footy field. (Maybe he does in Wangarratta where he comes from, but I doubt it). He doesn't move right; he just looks out of place; he doesn't belong. I can't say the same about Sylvia or a few others we debate on this board, but Newton? Simply NO.

Interestingly, the AFL Dreamteam comp values Valenti at $320K, 12th most valuable on the MFC list! And he's a rookie! Probably the most valuable rookie in the comp. He should be on our main list for mine.

And we did rather well trading Longmuir for pick 19 (Wheatley). Then there's the 99 draft. No cert we would have picked Pavlich. Have a look here, of the first 16 picks, only Pavlich and Corey are guns, then maybe Fraser, Haselby & Murphy depending on your point of view. Heavens, we might have picked Cupido!!

You make a good point. Naming rights to a team and footy club AND a major venue. Again, shows how we are disadvantaged by not having a 'home ground' that is truly ours. Not sure, waiting and watching = don't vote. Read this thread and you see some very strong and polarised views. So in this case, I thought a poll might bring some levelling ie without the shouting by a few.

A current thread on Valenti got 123 posts in less than 4 days. Discussion was/is quite polarised. So I thought I'd put up this poll. I for one rate him and like Clints comment: Sums up my thoughts nicely.
