  1. And who's Presti to play on? Davis & Presti in are a plus for the Saints IMHO. But, then Baker in is a plus for the filth.
  2. The question mark about Rich has always been his upside. That's why he slipped to pick 7. If the rumor is true, the Lions are is serious trouble; loyalty/player relations aint on the page at Brisbane. If they don't trade him, he may well walk when he can. Then again, he may want a trade such is the state of Brisbane.
  3. Agreed; but sad for a long term player to leave late in his career. Apparently MFC has a 1 yr deal on the table; other clubs (note the plural) have 2 yrs on offer. Link
  4. Morton for pick 4?
  5. Agreed. Small mid/forward without pace or awareness. Another tiger stuff up.
  6. A medium sized player who can play forward or back? Is a straight kick at goal. That's about it. Good VFL player; nothing there for us. Edit: FHS, who would he replace/put out of the team?
  7. Agree entirely. Brennan has a hugely over-inflated opinion of himself. Has done nothing I know of to suggest anything above the ordinary. He's a WALLY.
  8. And what you may ask, was Watts drafted for? Not another hit up half forward FFS? Good grief.
  9. Nicely done, with good pr for the supporters. Not much else. Nothing new. No revelations. BUT, good communication with supporters.
  10. As I said, get over yourself.
  11. Absolutely laughable - I'll use the above bracket as an example: Blease, Tapscott & Gawn have not played a single AFL game; Strauss & McNamara 2/3 each Good grief.
  12. Agreed Pace isn't everything - ask Swan Agreed Give it a rest Rhino - you didn't rate Valenti; plenty did. Get over yourself. He can add his Liston to the 3 Brownlow votes he got (in 1 game) from a limited number of opportunities/games. Better than many(most?).
  13. GC have a sh*t load of 1st round picks. Some/lots? will be used for trades, which can be on-traded. Who knows what picks will be available for trades. Gonna be a complicated trade period me thinks.
  14. I thought is was more that Ferguson didn't agree to the trade. And as both players have to agree (Sewell did ), the trade fell over.
  15. Interesting times.
  16. I like the NRL system (about the only thing they do well)> 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6 etc. 2 highest winning teams get a week off; 2 lowest losing teams are eliminated. Not sure how it goes from there, but you get the gist. Top side should only get a week off if each side plays the others twice; ie equal for all. At the moment with 22 games, its a bit of a lottery.
  17. Nor will Jones. Sad, I know.
  18. He knocked back $300k at the weagles. Go figure. Generous I would have thought. No.
  19. Hahaha. Love it. Just make sure they make statements about "having a vision" and "moving forward". Heavens, Knights is a wally. I preferred Hardwick over Bailey, but thank the lord we didn't end up with knights.
  20. Nonsense. He is not, and it has been acknowledged as much, that he is not a good kick especially over short to medium distances.
  21. Nonsense. Best players have an appetite for a contest, the abilty to contest; and can kick. Morton doesn't have the first and can't do the 2nd Don't know what you're wanting to say here. BUT they are not the sole hard nuts - think McKenzie, Bail, Scully for a start. Time will tell who emerges at the end as mids going forward. FWIW, IMO neither Moloney or Jones will be there.
  22. Don't understand this at all. Morton & Newton (FFS) are not worthy of a recall; Warnock makes us top heavy in defence. Maybe Bail has signed with GC? no reason he should be out - we will miss his hardness, especially with Morton in. I expect us to get beaten by plenty.
  23. Interesting thought, Thompson. A Morton trade might get it done. What is certain is that if a Thompson came to MFC, a mid will be pushed out. Doubt it will happen; Thompson is 27 - a year or 2 too old I would have thought.
