  1. prefer: 3) sue CW and the Age
  2. Bit early for mine, but someone on afl.com.au has had a go.....pretty close I would have thought. Ed: link http://mm.afl.com.au/Portals/0/2012/melbourne_v_portadelaide.jpg
  3. This link will give you a link that by-passes the digipass crap. Link
  4. Bloke's a bogan, pure and simple.
  5. Redleg, I am in awe........... Mods, pin this post somewhere!
  6. No. As he was offered a contract by the crows, which he rejected, he is NOT a free agent; he must go into the ND and/or PSD.
  7. Tippett was offered a contract, so cannot be considered a delisted free agent. Also, GWS have picks 1, 2, 3, 12 and 14 in the ND; if they want him, they can take him with pick 12 or 14. Lions first pick is 8; GC 13...... and swans 23...lol. If he goes into PSD, he has GWS, GC, MFC and lions to get past before swans. Who knows, but I would guess we have the SC space to get him (if we want, and he is not de-registered). The idea of a GC land developer getting screwed is very appealing to me. Ed: what I don't understand is how a money grubbing, elitist, egotistical, manipulative piece of [censored] fits into the swans famous "culture". Go figure.
  8. Over 6 years, he was played in most positions; none worked. Big tank on its own aint enuf.
  9. He is a huge unit, and competitive......fantastic if he does (I reckon he will!).
  10. hahaha....gold They just gravitate to the tiges....lol Ed: any sign of Martin?
  11. And Jarrad Grant pick 5 David Meyers pick 6 Rhys Palmer pick 7 FFS, don't cherry pick drafts. Move on.
  12. Why? Pederson was A major target. If the lions had given up pick 33 for Martin, that would have done the job, and Gysberts would have stayed. But Gysberts was the reluctant trade to get Pederson and once Pederson was landed, the game time for Martin was probably very limited; so Martin to the lions was a win/win. Morton? We effectively paid WC to take him and so create a spot on our list - fair outcome for mine.
  13. Unlikely. They mark harder than we do.....lol.
  14. Probably not, but without Gysberts going to north, Pederson was not coming to us. Simple as that. Obviously Pederson was a real target. If we had got a 2nd rounder for Rivers (or the lions had given us a 2nd rounder for Martin), Gysberts would probably still be with us.
  15. Jacobs and Tippett have both been offered contracts, which they have knocked back. They have to go into the ND or PSD. Think Toy was also offered a 1 yr contract, so same for him. BTW, a lot of late smokeys (eg Jurrah) usually come into the PSD, so lets wait and see who's available. (Having said that, Jacobs has a few unsavoury character rumours floating around about him. Due diligence will be done I guess.)
  16. And he worries about the culture at the MFC?....lol
  17. And you can have a look at 186.
  18. What nonsense. When any employee finishes up, for whatever reason, the employer says "thanks for all your efforts, all the best for the future" and usually gives a hand to get them a new job. No different in an AFL footy club.
  19. 2 different issues. Specifying the draft pick a player can be traded for ahead of time is tampering with the draft because draft picks are involved, and draft picks must be at some sort of current value - especially when its written into a contract. An example might be that Tippett goes into the PSD and we let him slide to the dogs; in exchange they agree to trade us their first 2 picks next year for a 3rd rounder. The $200k is a different issue. All player (related) payments must be included in a club's TPP. (Scully's old man has his $100k included in the GWS TPP because it was considered part of the deal to get Scully to the club. the important part is GWS declared the payment to the AFL.) Any undeclared payments are a breach of the AFL TPP policy. Rediculous thing is that Adelaide could have paid the $200k without actually breaching the payment cap apparently.
  20. Sanderson must be beside himself. Yep. Not a week-in week-out match winner, yet...................... And remember, he's 1 (bad) concussion away from being finished.
  21. Think we wanted a 2nd rounder, but dogs offered a 3rd. Whatever, I agree, and Bates would have at least 1 year more in the AFL (the doggies gave Sherman 3 yrs FFS). You were correct; dogs offered 2nd rounder, we wanted 1st. Sheesh.
  22. WTF.....Bartram is in the leadership group, Pettard is not. On FB, Pettard has been linked to the filth, Cook to the dogs.
  23. Its reported in the Age? that we are contributing to his salary next year. Ed: In essence, we are paying WC to take him off our hands...lol
  24. Surprised Couch still on list.
