  1. From the small sample i have seen, his biggest weakness is his lack of strength. Gets brushed out of the contest by guys much smaller. Also his decision making is pretty horrible at times. But geezus he is just a kid. I suspect he is being forced to develop quickly as insurance in case his brother leaves and we dont get Hurley. In an ideal world he would have had the majority of the season in the 2's getting a handle on the basics, but as it is we could only have replaced him with Dunn ( i would have done just that a few times this season ) or Garland. Now for some reason they are not getting games. Can only guess why, but its obvious they are not part of the future for MFC. I am of the belief (misguided or not) that he will become a very very good defender in time. Right now he is being asked to play key roles before he is ready. That is not the kids fault. Anyway, i rate him as a prospect. *shrug
  2. It was a female, and she had shingles. No threat of death there.....

  4. I agree. I actually think we have the makings of a very very good team. Cant see us getting close today though.
  5. Simple, we need to win or come close. But we wont. Actually its this misplaced positivity that makes me shake my head. Have not beaten a single team that was above us on the ladder this year (before game day), and somehow people think we will come out and win against the in-form team on top of the ladder. What has happened to peoples common sense?
  6. lol i predicted a 7 goal win last week, so you are not only wrong, but seem to be one of those supporters who cant think beyond "Go Dees". I wont get any enjoyment out of being flogged today. None. We need to win, or at the very least scare the bejeezus out of Hawthorn to get much out of today. This constant mantra of "maybe next year" has worn out its welcome.
  7. We fell over the line against a decimated Gold Coast, Go in this week with an even less experienced side, Playing the best team of the past decade And STILL people think we will win? Sometimes i just shake my head................
  8. I was sure Hulett would get a debut before the Weed. His form has been better according to most reports, and he is far more advanced physically. Actually its probably an easy game as far as Melbourne forwards are concerned, as the ball will not likely be spending much time in our forward 50. At least he gets a taste without getting too roughed up, unless they go the Biff behind the play. Good luck Weed, i hope you do well.
  9. Couldnt agree more. I would lose my shyte if, for even a nanosecond, we contemplated giving up a first rounder for Hibberd. I want him, but for a second rounder at best. Any more than that and Essedun can get stuffed. We rolled over for the Melk, and it cost us a full year of lost games. These pricks owe us and we should be as hard nosed about this deal as possible. FFS it is WELL overdue that we finally grew some balls when it came to trades, especially in regards to the drug cheats.
  10. First time this year i have dared to watch live on tv, and im already reminded why i usually dont watch. I cant even find the energy to shake my head at how bad we look so far. Thank GOD i go to work soon so i cant watch any more..................... We need to fire up or this could get ugly.
  11. Melb by 42 points. No excuses for us today. Suns are younger and have travelled as much as we have lately. Dont give me bs about being "tired". Season is the same length for everyone Get the job done.
  12. This is exactly what i have been thinking about this game. Should be ours on a platter. Problem is, we still seem to have one effort game followed by absolute tripe. Guess which one we are due for..............
  13. This sounds exactly the same as the Essedun game. We surely must have learned our lesson. Surely. Melb by several goals.
  14. lol @ anyone who thinks we will win. We will be lucky if it isnt a massacre.
  15. The Eagles have belted much better teams than us in Perth this year, with only one bad game against the Crows. We are historically rank away from the MCG. Adds up to an 80+ point loss in my book. Yeah, no confidence at all in our kids this week. Just hope it doesn't completely destroy any remaining confidence the boys have.
  16. Because its nobody else's business
  17. Buy a membership
  18. Still think we will win 10? If so who do you see us beating? I missed on Freo, but i would still bank on being closer to the mark with my prediction. Confident against the Suns, but after today thats the only other win i am confident about. Anything else would be a big upset, as even Carlton will surely start strong favorites. Today was a massive kick in the guts for the majority of MFC supporters.
  19. Casey 33 Dogs 19 8 mins into 2nd
  20. We are kicking with a gale, so the next qtr will tell the story. Still, it looks good so far.
  21. ANB killing it early on.
  22. hmmmmm you have a point. OK both Maxy and Jack for most improved.
  23. Was my nom as biggest improver this year before the season started (I was wrong as its probably Watts) Stoked that Kenty has signed up.
  24. Burn Essendrug,...... Burn. You filthy cheating basterds. P.S i want Hibberd cheap. Hurley would also be a very nice pickup. As you were, ... carry on.
