  1. Fluffy Ducks anyone?
  2. No its considerably cheaper than Blue at about $70 per, but having had both my brother and i both prefer the Green.
  3. One of my very favorite drops. Well worth a try.
  4. Nothing wrong with Johnnie Green either. All its peppery loveliness...... Masks the crap feeling of defeat very well.

Not really his choice in the end though. If the club decides they are better off exploring a trade.......,.. well look at what happened to Jack Watts. He said practically the same thing but still ended up somewhere else. I personally dont want to see him traded. Kid has some great attributes and could be an excellent player with a solid run of games, and confidence in himself. Hard at the ball and opposition player too, which is something that cant really be taught. Hang onto Angus and we will be rewarded. (IMO)

If he is getting north of $30k per game, i want much more from him than we have seen so far. On top of this was the price of 2 first rounders among others. Many posters were in a lather when we got him, insisting he will make us a much better team. So far i dont think he has improved us at all structure wise. Obviously he has only played 3 games, and may well explode from next week, but he can only be judged on his value thus far. That value is minimal and must improve dramatically. Over to you Jake.

So we would be selling out to fund our new home? Awesome, somewhere to call home permanently is long overdue. How do we replace that income ? ( not just question for you AF )

We have a long way to go financially before we can afford to jump on the Virtue-Signal train. All this will do is make us even MORE reliant on the AFL for coin. The League never does anything without expecting some sort of quid.pro-quo. Hope some of you are happy to get more Sunday arvo games, and home games against all the big clubs like GWS and Freo..All without us getting all whiny and making a fuss. Cant risk our head office funding and all that. We cant expect any free favors from AFL house for being nice corporate citizens. There had better be something in the pipeworks or this is a stupid idea.

What the actual [censored] has happened to our cricket team? How did they come to a collective decision that cheating was ok? Maybe they felt so [censored] off with South Africa in general (and there are no more arrogant supporters in the world) that somehow it justified in their tiny little brains that beating them at all costs was ok. Smith must be sacked. Anyone who agreed to cheat must also serve time, even if we cant field a team for the last game. Send 'em home in disgrace.
  11. Even Port has forgotten about Jimmy T. (Or at least they are trying to)
  12. GWS are currently more likely to face this problem than we are. OK, so they havent won the main prize yet, but right now i would take their list over ours. (And i love our list)

Anyone surprised Rabada got off? The instant i saw that a Kiwi bloke was hearing the appeal i would have bet my life savings that he would be able to play. I fully expect Australia to be utterly humiliated on the field in the next test. Rabada to have another 10-for match. Both Marshes to fail twice. Smith to fall to Rabada both times. Saffas by an innings.
  14. Seriously, what is a journalist who knows practically nothing about the actual game of Aussie Rules going to write about? I have never seen a single article from Caro about a game of footy. The on field stuff i mean. This sort of piece is her stock-in-trade. We either prove to the football world that missing the camp didn't hurt our football ability, or we fuel the fire. The ball is in our court, the same way it has been since the game was invented. GO DEES!
  15. Yeah thats what i was thinking. MRP probably trying to send an early message. IF it was a closed fist, take the fine and learn from it. If it was an open hand it couldnt have possibly been fine-worthy.

Nah sounds more like he was just very disappointed that his lad didnt go to MFC. He really did want us to pick Ollie. Our fault, not his i think.

His family ( old man in particular ) hate our club for overlooking him last time we had the chance. We said we were gonna pick him but obviously didnt. MFC are not likely to be much of a chance even if he does want to leave. Dont have anything more than that but i do keep asking the question of my source
  18. Hard as a cats head and hates losing........... AND he has skills. Exactly what we have needed more of for years. Might just be our biggest surprise packet in "18
  19. This post made me quit glue sniffing...................................
  20. I started barracking for this post.......
  21. We lose round 1 to the Cats by 4 goals, with at least 3 of our best 22 out with pre-season injuries. Hunt does a hammy early in the year. Stays 426 for 8210. Maximum starts the year in red hot form and at the half way mark of the season is second fave for the Bluey behind Oliver, who continues to rack up 30+ weekly despite hard tags. Oliver also finishes the year with a kick to handball ratio of 40/60 and multiple bags of 2 or more goals in a game. Pedo to play as back up ruck, switching forward, and is important in a few wins before the bye. By the half way mark of the season, Weed takes his place and TMac relieves Max in the guts instead. Young Sam starts to look at home, and shows enough to have the press pumping up his tyres as a "future star". My boy ANB does a Ben Simmons and racks up multiple triple doubles in the forward line. ( kicks/handballs/pressure acts) Our Coach to FINALLY remind the team how long it has been since we beat North. Privately AND in the press. We have a percentage booster against North. Essendon have a percentage booster against us. At the Bye we are in 8th. Start slowly post-bye but finish the year well to finally make the finals in 7th. Lose that final to eventual premier Geelong. (During the year, we have at least one player go down with an ACL. No more broken feet though, so its not all bad) Trac to slightly disappoint. (Improves, but doesnt take games by the throat regularly despite the obvious talent/hype) Jesse to crush it, before suffering an injury in round 10-12 which sees him lose form and fitness. Tmac wins goalkicking. Viney wins Bluey ahead of Clarry and Hibbo. At least one story in the Hun saying Hogan wants to be traded to Freo, and one story saying we made a mistake trading Watts after we lose a close one with bad kicking. 3 Players who improve the most = Joel Smith, Angus Brayshaw and Corey Maynard. 3 Players who slide the most= Bernie, Jordan Lewis and Nev Jetta. Surprise packet = Charlie Spargo who plays 10 games. Other clubs.......... Improvers = Carlton by the most, with Essendon also improving. Collingwood. Obviously, i believe we (MFC) also get better. Sliders = North who will only win 4 games and the spoon. West Coast who will miss the finals. Hawks who win no more than 8. Port.
  22. After having won the most prestigious award on the internet just last year, i feel i have an obligation to take my time with next years predictions, if only for dramatic effect. I will consult my crystal ball and post the results here when i feel you are all emotionally ready to hear what is going to happen. @faultydet if you want inside information before i post, you know my number.

Yep it was good, but lets see what happens for the rest of the series. Great players back it up. Unfortunately Marsh isnt a great player. Hope he makes me eat humble pie.
  24. Jack, you can talk yourself up all you like, but the fact remains you just didnt care enough to get the best out of yourself while you played for MFC. That, and you were afraid of the contest. Dont think you will be greatly missed by anyone who values effort above being a nice bloke.
