  1. An ideal ending to the season, have two draws, and finish with giving the saints a belting in the last round.
  2. Yep pretty sure Bret was a one eyed supporter as a kid.
  3. if your happy with 23,000 champ, well good luck to you but to most, it's still poor.
  4. No comparison at all? Why, if you love your team, and support not only the club but a president that gives you hope and has just announced he has cancer super star players or not, 23, 000 is a poor effort IMO.
  5. I admire and also sympathise to those members who can not attend living outside Melbourne. I would never attack those people who love the MFC and financially support the club, yet can not attend. But don't forget we are not far behind St Kilda in members, and they too would have members outside Melbourne too. I just wonder what the crowd would have been like if it was Saint v's Weagles at the "G"? I just hate the image of only Demon supporters go to the snow. I for one have only been once, and that was when i was a kid!
  6. Thanks. With that many Sandgropers I hope none slip through, I know Scully is fantastic but?
  7. I don't want to poor cold water on a fantastic win but only 23, 149, what a poor effort. A record 31,508 members, where were you? The weagles had a good support there.
  8. 9 West Australians! Is Brandon Matera a relation to Peter?
  9. Where do you start! 6 - Grimes 5 - Bruce 4 - McLean 3 - Moloney 2 - Jones 1 - Green
  10. Dear Jim I have never personally met you, but I feel you have been part of my family. I have been to just about every game you played for the mighty Demons, I have watched you from your humble beginnings and shared in your successes and cried with your disappointments. To see you at the head of the footy club I love and obviously you do as well, was almost a dream come true. Now you have this challenge I will still feel like I’m going through it with you. I have lost a number of friends and family through cancer, (no greater loss was my 10 year old sister). I will have an idea of what you and especially your family will be going through. All I can say is that seeing where you’ve been and what you’ve achieved, you will handle this with all the grit and determination that has made you who you are. All the very best to you and your family, hope to see you back at the MFC very soon, with a premiership cup in your hands.

  12. Thanks for the support from those who think that this is not a stupid post. It is strange that everyone is allowed their opinion but as soon as you don't agree its retarded. At the moment there are so many threads on players futures, and at only half way through the season, what is the difference. I bet some of those Muppets have posted wanting certain players out for the end of the season. Well it is now half way on Bailey's contract, and why not look to the future. Everyone here what to see the mighty MFC with a flag, which is something I have never seen, and would give my left one before I die to revel in the glory. If we get picks no 1 & 2 at the end of the season we will be the last of the teams to be allowed pick 1 let alone 1 & 2 for many years. The Dawks, Carltank and Saints are the only teams that have really exploited the draft, and all are now reaping the rewards. Thomas couldn't do it at the Saints (So they sacked him), yet he had the makings of a fantastic team with Koschitzke, Riewold, Ball, Goddard, all pick 1 and 2 in 2000, 2001 and 2002. And I for one don’t want to take as long as them to be as successful as they are today. I really started this based on the total disgust, disappointment and feeling of humiliation I had after our effort against Eddiewood. If our team and coaching staff cannot make us perform on our biggest stag except finals, what is the future? So why not assess our coach, is he the one that will hold the cup aloft, or just another Thomas? Your opinion is valued, even the Muppets. The MFC needs stability, look at the strong and successful clubs, they all have it. And yes the club needs to have a 10 year successful coach. Every post has its value, if you don't agree fine, but why bother bagging, as all our footy desires lead to one thing, a Premiership. As I say "Through our actions and attitudes create an environment that produces Premierships!" not bagging the [censored] out its supporters, right or wrong.
  13. I am one for some sentiment, as G Lyon as coach, T Viney as assistant, and J Stynes as prez, Just like the good 'ol days, but holding the cup!
  14. Please, I don't want to sound like a pessimist, however after the devastating loss to Eddiewood I still can not believe that we were so bad. To loose may be, but destroyed, it is still painful. So every MFC support is looking to the future, is it Watts, may be Blease, or even Scully and Butcher or another from the ranks that will be an AFL SUPERSTAR, do you think we have the best coach to take the MFC to a flag in the near future, if not who do you think. According to the Hun, the list above includes possibles out of contract this year or next and some others. <_< If you had the ultimate choice of a coach to take the MFC to the next flag, assuming we get a priority pick this year, who would be the best choice?
  15. Well! After the total farce against Eddiewood, it is no wonder the changes (I'm still sulking, and it is still a bitter pill to swallow). However you may notice a trend happening, each player omitted basically has a ready made replacement. However their abilities may not match exactly. I would say that bar a few, just about every player is playing for their future, and if any player wants to be part of that, stand up now! I agree that there may be a change or two that doesn't sit with the faithful, like Maric/Bartrim or Jetta, but time will tell. This would have to be one of the least experienced teams the MFC has ever put on the park! All I can say give it your 100% not like Eddiewood! Go D's!
  16. Sad to say that the oldest footy club has only 1 300 gamer, and no century goal kicker.
  17. All you could say is total disapointment! Is there a light at the end of the tunnel, or is that a train coming!!!
  18. 6:Sylvia 5:Jones 4:Bruce 3:Moloney 2:Cheney 1:Davey
  19. Well our skills are somewhat behind the top teams, So D's bring'em down to our level. The weather will help.
  20. Yeah Eddie is not a player, you could see his Cheshire smile now if JW was flattened. Just watch Maxwell!
  21. Who cares just be there! Nothing will stop me!
  22. If you heard Campbell Brown when asked by Sam, would you get Watts a touch up, he said you bet. I wonder which C#@#@$Wood Flith will try to take Watts out?
  23. This weekend with JW in just may bring in a few more!
